2. Dazai is really drunk. The kind of drunk that has Odasaku concerned that he might be trying to die through liver failure. That drunk.

And so, it's with hesitation that he speaks up.]

[Fuck it. He just kissed him again, softly. Lightly. A glancing blow.]

[Dazai's difficult to figure out. But once Dazai kisses him, Odasaku can't help but peck his lips in return, ever so lightly.

It's not onesided and he's not pushing Odasaku into anything. It's important Dazai knows that.]

[He makes a gentle, content sound.]

[Oh no. Whatever will he do.]

Maybe... next time I won't fall on my ass?

[He offers a laugh and a smile. There. Not awkward anymore.]

That did hurt the mood a little.

[He's glad the tension and awkwardness are easing.]

Next time maybe it won't be in the kitchen.

[Most comfortable places to make out: probably not the kitchen.]

Next time, next time. I'll be sure to be somewhere comfortable next time I kiss you.

[He glances at the couch.]

[Odasaku's gaze follows Dazai's. Ah, the couch. A classic.]

Sounds good. I'm looking forward to it.

[ninjou]

[He drums his fingers on the floor... thinking... thinking.]

I'm thinking I'll be on top.

[tenimuho]

[The widening of Odasaku's eyes and his hesitation suggests that Dazai has actually flustered him for a second.]

...Okay.

[He's not complaining, though.]

[ninjou]

[NOT IN A SEXUAL WAY, ODASAKU.]

I think it'll be better that way. More comfortable. You're kind of heavy.

[Look. Look. It's a perfectly natural conclusion to come to considering the subject matter.

...also he's just realized his mistake. He gives an awkward chuckle.]

[ninjou]

[He can laugh at that, right? Dazai isn't being the troublesome one for once!]

[But he's red and looking anywhere but at Dazai's face, so that should be telling enough.]

[What.... Now Dazai gets to turn a little pink, despite his grin.]

It's just what I thought you meant.

[He's not actively denying it, though. That sure is an interesting spot on the wall.]

It's so sudden! I just kissed you yesterday!

Oh shit. Dazai's eyes widen a little.]

Do you... um. I mean, have you...?

[Dazai, use your words or he'll misunderstand.]

[tenimuho]

...I don't know what you mean and I don't want to guess wrong again.

[Because that got them into this embarrassing conversation to begin with.]

[ninjou]

[He gestures vaguely with one hand.]

You seemed really surprised when I kissed you. I thought you didn't care that much. If you're thinking about that... you're moving too fast, right? For someone who doesn't like me like that...? Wasn't this all me?

[tenimuho]

...I don't think about this sort of thing very often, so I don't know exactly how to say it.

[Odasaku tries to carefully put his words together. It's hestiant, but at least he's looking at Dazai again.]

I think I could be happy even if things didn't change between us. If things went back to normal and we just stayed friends.

But... I also think I'd be happy if you kissed me again, and I wouldn't feel that way about any other person.

It's not just you.

[ninjou]

[Dazai is smart and clever and he thinks on his feet but... this is almost too interesting. He's thinking about this too hard. He's actually imagining what it would be like to be able to be something that's the same but with more kissing and...
