2. Dazai is really drunk. The kind of drunk that has Odasaku concerned that he might be trying to die through liver failure. That drunk.

And so, it's with hesitation that he speaks up.]

Maybe you should stop drinking for tonight.

[Technically it was 'resist Dazai's charms' rather than 'resist Dazai' but it's the same thing.]

[This is all said in Odasaku's regular flat tone of voice, without a change in expression.]

It was a joke.

[Dazai probably realizes that.]

[Oh he does, but he's pointedly walking in a random direction now.]

I have a game to play anyway...

[He veers back over, smiling.]

You're gullible tonight, too.

I thought I was gullible most of the time.

[He's heard it often enough, usually from Ango trying to warn him not to believe everything Dazai says.]

[ninjou]

[Sometimes Ango is right. Sometimes.]

I'll go back with you. And sleep with you.

[tenimuho]

I'll try not to steal all the blankets.

[Key word being try.]

[ninjou]

Maybe I won't care.

[Heh. Dazai is a pillow thief.]

We'll see.

[They're going to wake up super tangled, aren't they.]

[Dazai will be on top of him.

Off they go. Surely they're almost there.]

[It's more comfortable that way.

And shortly after - here they are. Odasaku holds the door open for Dazai, like a gentleman.]

[ninjou]

[Oh, how kind! Dazai goes in, removes his shoes properly, and hangs his coat and suit jacket up by the door.]

Two nights in a row...

[tenimuho]

[Odasaku does the same.]

You might as well move in at this rate.

[ninjou]

I like this better than where I live now, you know. Mostly because you're here, and it's quiet.

[He holds out his hand.]

Let me be an idiot again, alright? You can forgive me later.

[Odasaku laces his fingers with Dazai's.]

You can be an idiot as many times as you want.

[ninjou]

[He urges him closer, trying to decide...]

You know, you're kind of in charge when we're like this.

[Dazai is at his total, absolute whim. He's too enamored, and he's the one to get shy like this. Well, other than the relentless teasing.]
