[Tonight, Dazai is really drunk.

This is not different from most other nights in their favorite bar, save for a few things.

1. Ango isn't here.

2. Dazai is really drunk. The kind of drunk that has Odasaku concerned that he might be trying to die through liver failure. That drunk.

And so, it's with hesitation that he speaks up.]

Maybe you should stop drinking for tonight.

I wasn't going to ask. We're not lovers, after all~~~

[But he's still pressing a sweet, light kiss to Odasaku's jaw.]

I didn't know you were lovers with every woman you've asked.

[Dazai gets around, apparently.

Odasaku tugs him a little closer by the waist. One hand goes to play with Dazai's hair.]

[ninjou]

Only a few!

[This is stupid and a terrible idea, but...]

Hey. Kiss me. Properly.

[tenimuho]

[No need to ask twice.

Odasaku leans in and kisses Dazai's lips - a gentle, lingering kiss. He's still playing with Dazai's hair.]

[ninjou]

[He's going to make Dazai purr if he keeps that up.

The kiss is returned lightly, but with great, great affection.]

You make me want to die a little less. Someone has to watch your back.

[tenimuho]

I'm honored.

[Making Dazai want to die less is one of the best things he's done. Probably the best if you don't include anything related to the children.]

You make me want to live even more.

[Another soft, closed-mouth kiss.]

[ninjou]

[He pulls away only enough to nuzzle his cheek, then to whisper by his ear.]

I've never felt like this before. I'm happy.

[tenimuho]

[Odasaku stops playing with Dazai's hair in order to hug him tightly, smiling brighter than he almost ever has.]

That's good.

[ninjou]

[He slides his arms around Odasaku, and they fit together the way they should. They work, and he's glad he has something to really live for. Chasing that shadow for so long, only to be rewarded with Odasaku's undivided attention is bliss.]

You're happy, too?

[tenimuho]

I couldn't be happier.

[Dazai gets a kiss on the lips, then on the forehead. Then on both cheeks. His affection runneth over.]

[ninjou]

[Dazai smiles so hard it hurts. He hopes Odasaku never regrets this.]

Should we go?

[tenimuho]

Probably. It's getting late.

[...one last kiss for the road.]

[ninjou]

[A beat. He looks up at him.]

Can I stay with you again?

[tenimuho]

If you want.

[Just move in, it'll be fine.]

[ninjou]

If you don't mind sharing a pillow.

[He went there.]

[tenimuho]

...Okay. [The idea doesn't sound bad, but...] But I could just take the couch this time.

[ninjou]

Ahh.....

[That was an unsubtle offer to cuddle, but whatever.]

If you want the couch, take the couch.

[tenimuho]

I don't mind giving up the bed for... oh, you want to cuddle.

[that really wasn't subtle at all Odasaku]

[ninjou]

[NOT ANYMORE.]

You can take the couch~~~

[tenimuho]

Sharing would be nice. [He's embarrassed to have missed that.]

But I also might steal the blankets. I can't promise I won't.

[ninjou]

I don't mind.

[He pulls away, shifts his coat back into place, and heads out of the alley nonchalantly.]

[tenimuho]

[Following shortly after. No PDA while they're out of the alleyway, even if it would be nice.]

Will you eat breakfast this time?

[ninjou]

[Nothing until they're safely behind closed doors.]

I'll stay, yeah. I have to leave before the sun is up, though. Do you care?

[tenimuho]

[He shakes his head.]

As long as you wake me before you go.
