[Tonight, Dazai is really drunk.

This is not different from most other nights in their favorite bar, save for a few things.

1. Ango isn't here.

2. Dazai is really drunk. The kind of drunk that has Odasaku concerned that he might be trying to die through liver failure. That drunk.

And so, it's with hesitation that he speaks up.]

Maybe you should stop drinking for tonight.

[The scars. He is the picture of a perfect lineface right now.]

And then I'll shove you in front of a mirror and talk about you for an hour.

I don't mind touching them as long as it doesn't hurt you.

[The other part doesn't sound all that bad either. Maybe just embarrassing.]

[Well, that's good.]

It feels weird. Like nothing and everything at the same time.

[He refuses to talk about how it also makes him slightly... entertained...?]

That does sound weird.

[But as long as it's not painful...]

I still think you're more handsome than I am.

[It's good. Very good. He'll find out eventually, probably.

He is also going to lunge at Odasaku and drag him in front of the mirror.]

Don't you have somewhere to be this morning? You can't talk about me for an hour.

[He laughs and takes the short length of bandages they were wrapping and puts it on the bed. Then he stands half behind Odasaku and rests a hand on top of his head before running it through his hair.]

This hair, the perfect shade. Why do you dye it? Ahh, you're hard to look away from. And it's soft... effortless, right? You woke up this morning looking like this. And speaking of that, your sleeping face makes my heart beat really, really fast. Your mouth open a little and your eyes lightly closed. Like you're ready to jump up at any moment.

[oh my god Dazai why are you like this

He doesn't have much to say to that - his reddening face probably speaks for him.]

...I'm a light sleeper. It's not all that impressive.

[He has to raise up on his toes to do it, but he nips at Odasaku's ear.]

Maybe it's not about looking at you, but your voice is unforgettable. From across the room, that soft, gentle sound, trying to stay quietly in confidence, but I caught it right away.

[And now he touches his cheek.]

Handsome. Striking, maybe? I know people look when you walk by. You're tall, but you also have a perfect nose, for example.

[He runs a finger down the bridge... and drops it to his lips.]

I've wanted to kiss these since I saw them. Maybe it's because you're so straight laced and serious... I want to be right there. It calms me down.

[This may have been a bad idea. Odasaku looks away from the mirror, even more red now.]

I understand your reputation so much better now.

I'm just getting started. Unless you want to concede...?

...No. I won't concede that easily

[He's stubborn when he wants to be.]

[Well. He runs a finger along Odasaku's jaw then.]

You know, most men can't pull this off. The five o'clock shadow, as we say. It tickles when you kiss me. I wonder what it would feel like... well.

[He offers a soft, throaty laugh.]

Is it too early in the morning to talk about your neck? No? I hope not.

[Because after a small kiss to his jaw, Dazai is moving lips down a bit.]

How should I describe it... delicious? When you hold your head high and stand tall, you expose a little too much. Maybe I'm a pervert. I want to lick it. Bite it. All the attention I could give you.

[A little scrape of teeth, and Dazai gives a soft growl. Then there's fingers on buttons...]

Now we're getting to the parts I don't want to share.

[His head is spinning. He thinks he could power a small generator just with the heat coming off his face right now.]

You're terrible and I'm going to get you back twice over for this.

[But he still won't give in. Partially from stubbornness, and partially from his genuine opinion that Dazai is handsome even despite everything.]

[Risky for first thing in the morning, but Dazai is now slowly unfastening a few buttons, then pushing the shirt aside somewhat. His lips find Odasaku's skin again at the hollow of his throat, and he nuzzles his neck before shifting attention to the side, toward his collarbone.]

Oh I really don't even get to see this. I want to. [A quick, sweet glance up.] I'll be gentle.

[He laps at his skin and sucks at a little spot on his chest, low enough to not cause trouble, and not hard enough to leave a mark. It will be pink for a minute or two, though.]

Your body... I can't wait to see it all. I want to look at those strong, proud shoulders and run my tongue over every curve of muscle. It's incredible. Your body would make anyone blush.

[More buttons, then Dazai pushes the shirt further open. Moving down... now his hands join in, drawing over toned muscles as he looks on appreciatively. They graze his nipples with a feathering touch.]

I'm going to spend hours looking at you like this. Touching you, fingers on every sensitive inch, my tongue anywhere you want. You're irresistible because you don't even know how handsome you are. You just exist, and the world gets just the smallest glimpse of Oda Sakunosuke...

[Odasaku makes a noise in the back of his throat like he's dying or about to be.]

I give, oh god I give--

[As much as some part of him would love Dazai not to stop doing what he's doing right now, the rest of him doesn't think he can handle it. He feels lightheaded. Dazai doing this to him is bad enough without seeing his own expression.]

[Dazai pulls away, practically giggling, shutting Odasaku's shirt and patting him on the buttons.]

I win.

You're going to regret that. I'm going to get the worst revenge on you.

[That would probably sound more intimidating if he wasn't still so red.

Odasaku turns away from the mirror and buttons his shirt up properly again.]

You look like you're going to die from embarrassment. This might be one of the best days of my life.

[Back to the bandages like nothing happened...]

I underestimated you.

[That's pretty clear now. He should have listened more to those stories about Dazai flirting with women, and turned it up to eleven.]

Do you still need help with the bandages?

[Oh. His smile goes softer, and he holds out his hand.]

If you want to.

Any time.

[Odasaku gets back to putting on Dazai's bandages. His face is still a little pink, but otherwise you'd be forgiven for thinking nothing had just happened.

He's quiet for a bit.]

[Dazai giggles a little from time to time, so he ends up having to look away while the arm is finished up. Then it's to the neck, and... those are kind of the ones he wants to hide the most. And the bruises, fresh and dark.]

I told you, though. You're handsome. I don't think you know how great you are.

Apparently I don't.

[He definitely doesn't want to get into this again, or he will have a heart attack.

He wraps up Dazai's neck with the same care as his arms. If the freshness of the bruises bothers him, he doesn't comment on it.]

Not too tight?

It's good.

[He reaches to touch Odasaku's hair, ruffles it a little, and pulls away to finish things up himself.]
