Call out one of the characters from my muselist with a starter, a prompt, a general 'hey can we do something with these characters' comment, a smoke signal, etc., and I'll get back to you with some kind of RP thread!
[Today the class was in the school library to do research on a project they were supposed to be doing. Alice already found the book she needed so she was finding a quiet place to read a different book. It wasn't her fault that she needed to return The Hobbit back to the public library after school! It was her duty to finish it.
Though, in the quiet reading nook there was someone else. Alice would have found a different spot if it weren't for one thing. It was Shinji and he was playing that stupid handheld game again. (Okay, that was two things.) She wasn't jealous of him or anything (okay maybe a little) but it annoyed her.
So, she sneaked up on him and tapped him on the head with The Hobbit.]
[Felix is also not socializing at this community gathering, because he's an antisocial person who's quite content getting along better with a venus flytrap than with people.
So he'd gone to maybe sit by a tree and try to relax, but...]
Do you know what you look like, watching people from being a tree?
[It's very rare that David gets Rayshifted somewhere he doesn't quite hate, and even rarer when he really wants to stay. Missions are tedious, as they usually involve hard work (i.e., any work at all for a man like David), and it's made even worse by the awful locations he's forced into. The ocean still takes the cake, but dreary cities and war-torn lands are hardly pleasant, either.
The hills of Orleans are about as good as it gets, though. The mission itself was rather simple, as far as David (who did very little work) is concerned, and the reward far exceeds it. David has planted himself firmly in the grass under a tree's broad branches, staring up somewhat petulantly at the one team member who actually bothered to go and find Old Man David.]
Surely we can stay a bit longer. The night, maybe. I doubt there'll be a crisis.
[Kajii can hardly blame David for being comfortable here. The hills are beautiful bordering on idyllic, and Kajii could be content to spend a while here... if he didn't have work to do.]
[ mikazuki is always easy to find - sitting somewhere, drinking tea, eating some dango. it's predictable. what's not predictable is who, on any given day, will come to see him. it's always a pleasant surprise to see who stumbles across his path. and chuuya stopping by is definitely a pleasant surprise. ]
[It's not the first time they've met - there's only so many people on this sex space station to talk to, and as grumpy as Chuuya is, he still wants to talk to people.
Since it's not the first time they've met and nearly all those encounters have been while Chuuya was tipsy or drunk, it probably won't come as a surprise when Chuuya answers:]
If you've got any sake, I'll take that instead.
[...but he'd rather have tea with Mikazuki than be alone, so he sits down before getting an answer.]
[Akutagawa should not have to babysit an executive of the Port Mafia, but here he is, tracking down Chuuya to bring him back to HQ because he’s been gone too long and it’s never good to leave Chuuya on his own for more than a few hours. Not when he’s drinking, at least. Activating Corruption because he’s too drunk to control himself is a very real possibility, and Mori isn’t willing to deal with that, especially not when there’s no Dazai to subdue Chuuya and bring him back safely from that state.
So here’s Akutagawa, who is very much capable of dragging Chuuya back with force if need be, entering a pub along the pier with the intent of getting in and out as quick as possible. He certainly doesn’t fit in with the crowd, and stands out even more when he starts questioning people whether or not they’ve seen a tiny redhead around here.
Higuchi told him that Chuuya was here, but she didn’t tell him that she’d heard that from someone else.
Eventually he comes around to a tiny blond in a hat sitting at the bar, and with all the warmth of a glacier proceeds to question him.]
You. Have you seen a short, loud redhead enter this establishment?
[The bar isn’t crowded tonight. Perhaps that’s not much of a surprise, considering that it’s a weekday, but Chuuya has a bit of downtime regardless, and you bet your ass he’s going to take advantage of that. He’s up at the bar, perched on a stool as he sips at a glass of whiskey, when he sees a very pretty redhead take a seat not far away.
He’s tipsy enough to not think twice about approaching the guy, all confidence and swagger as he leans on the bar next to him.]
[Usually, women are who obviously flirt with Shuji. But he's not opposed to men, especially pretty men, and they're much bolder about doing so nowadays. Times change.]
How did you know?
[Chuuya caused a scene at his last favorite bar and he thinks he ought to branch out before he gets kicked out too.]
[Her playmate for the week had already vanished, leaving Alice lonely and the other Alice bored. It was time to just take a look around the school to see what other Masters could see them. That was when they saw Shinji. He looked like the other adults around but the other Alice thought he might be younger. That meant he could be a playmate!
So they waited until he seperated from his Servant--she smelled like alcohol and both girls didn't like that smell a single bit.
Suddenly (for Shinji) a small girl in white is in front of him.]
Hi! Wanna play?
[Then, a duplicate voice from behind him this time coming from a girl in black.]
[Whoever left the magazine with his things while he was in a meeting was very clearly trying to fuck with him. His mouth twitches in annoyance when he finds it later, when he's going through his things, in part because he doesn't like people going through his things period, but also because of the fact that it's very clearly a magazine meant for women, promising articles inside about multiple orgasms and thirteen secrets men don't want you to know.]
[Out of spite, he reads the whole thing, cover to cover. It's almost entirely very stupid. He takes a personality test and then almost discard the magazine over the result, but keeps reading, and that leads down a winding path. Because the very next article is about sex. Akutagawa finds his interest peaked by the section on lingerie, in part because he's never understood the idea of clothes making someone more attractive and in part because, honestly, the photos of lingerie in the article are . . . very beautiful. In a delicate way. Which is a curious and new thought that he needs to roll around in his head for a while, but once he has, he begins to research.]
[Research culminates in a purchase: something simple, black, and lacy, because the lace intrigues him once again. It seems so unlike him, which makes him curious. The bralette is stuffed back in the bag almost immediately because it feels too different, but the rest stays. It's easier to get used to. He's not sure if he likes it or not, but he wears it for the rest of the day under his pants and ends up largely forgetting about it.]
[The evening is a quiet one; he and Takiji read on the couch, Takiji cocooned in a blanket that Akutagawa very seriously arranged to his standard. With his shoes off, his stockings are clearly showing, but he's not thinking about it. He's not thinking about much of anything, really.]
[Takiji loves these evenings, these quiet moments when Takiji can achieve some kind of peace of mind. Akutagawa is so careful when he wraps Takiji up in a blanket, and Takiji's grateful to have someone who pays attention to his discomfort when he isn't covered in something and takes it seriously - even more seriously than Takiji does sometimes.
When Takiji shares a book that's close to his heart with his boyfriend, Akutagawa takes that seriously, too. And sometimes Takiji brings a book that he hasn't read yet, something published between his death and now, and he and Akutagawa can experience it for the first time together.
This evening is another peaceful one, up until Takiji looks away from the pages long enough to notice that Akutagawa is wearing-]
[For the record, Shuji loved literature long before he had a gorgeous literature professor.
Dazai Osamu being fine as hell certainly didn't hurt. He had eyes that could devour you whole and a smile that promised you would enjoy it. His voice made Shuji melt, and more than once Shuji had lost track of the words when he was giving a lecture, focused only on the cadence of Dazai's voice and how much he'd love to hear Dazai moan his name-
Of course it's impossible to just ask out his professor. That's against school policy or immoral or some other stupid thing. So instead he makes excuses to be around him. He volunteers to clean up Dazai's classroom after the lesson - he's lucky that he has Dazai's last class of the day, and Dazai usually stays afterward to grade papers, so Shuji doesn't have to rush. He asks for clarification on themes he understood the first time just to have Dazai speak to him. He smiles and compliments his teacher's looks and sits on the corner of his desk whenever he can get away with it.
He knows he's not subtle. He knows Dazai must have picked up on it by now, but he hasn't told Shuji to stop, and he keeps smiling at Shuji in a way that threatens to stop his heart.]
Sensei, are you doing anything on the weekend?
[He's just finished making Dazai's room absolutely spotless, and has now settled on the corner of Dazai's desk.]
[Being an attractive man in a teaching position certainly has its benefits, Dazai’s favorite being the attention he gets from his students that’s not entirely academic in nature. His most persistent (and also most attractive), student has become a regular visitor after hours, and Dazai can’t say he minds in the slightest.]
Ah, Shuji-kun! Always so helpful! Thank you~
[Dazai glances up from his stack of papers with a warm smile. There’s something in his gaze as he eyes the student perched on his desk that isn’t entirely innocent.]
[Ever since he’d regained the ability to transform into a tiger, Atsushi has experienced some...interesting side effects. The desire to rub himself on things isn’t bad, and the whole needing to sharpen his claws thing he can deal with, but every now and then something overtakes him that leaves him overheated and unable to function until it passes.
Atsushi is totally going into heat, and instead of the last one he’d suffered through where he only desired to be mounted and taken, this time he feels oddly aggressive, with the desire to claim.
He should probably tell his boyfriend, even if he’d rather not worry him. He’s just not comfortable feeling so aggressive, and touching himself isn’t helping...]
[Being a tiger comes with side effects, or so it seems. Shuji'd felt awkward about whether buying Atsushi a scratching pole was the right thing to do or if it meant treating him like a pet, but Atsushi seemed happier having it, and that's all Shuji wanted.]
[This year, for the first time in a long time, Retasu had a party with friends who loved her. She figures Chuuya probably goes to the bar at night, though, so she's there in the late afternoon, carefully walking into the library with a bakery box and a bottle of ink. (She's not old enough to buy him sake or he'd get that too.)]
The library staff nods and says he was in the children's literature section earlier, giving Retasu directions. And sure enough, when Retasu finds him, he's sitting on the floor with a copy of Night on the Galactic Railroad in his lap.]
[Supergirl made the effort to try and dress like a normal person, but she still sticks out as she uncomfortably approaches Alice's school, sticking to her side.]
Whoa... Iunno what I was expecting, but this is pretty different for a school for supers.
[Maybe it's her Western looks, even if Kara doesn't come from the west of anywhere. (Except maybe another planet.) Maybe it's just how much she looks like she has no idea where anything is or where she's going.
Either way, it's not so bad to be relied on, Alice thinks.]
I think they'd be different everywhere you go, wouldn't they?
Shuji had warned Heigo that he would be coming - well, more gone 'hey do you mind if I drop by later?' and gotten an affirmation that Heigo would actually be there. He had not mentioned that he'd be carrying a tray full of home-cooked food, dinner for two including dessert.]
[Heigo actually had to clean his apartment in preparation for a visitor, something he's never had to do because he normally keeps it so spotless from day to day. His state of mind has plunged dangerously low in the past while, urged on by an endless stream of memories that render every bond he has either strained or much more complicated than before, so all manner of upkeep has slid along with it.
His own grooming is up to standard, at least, and he doesn't seem too frayed when he lets Shuji in - but his eyes widen at the sight of the food.]
Likew - sorry, is that an entire meal? The kitchen, as soon as you explain why you've got it in the first place.
[Dazai is a good boyfriend, there's no doubt about that. He does his best, and that's all Oda can ask from him.
...Well. Except one thing.
Saying that Dazai is bad in bed would be unkind. It's just that sometimes he treats Oda like he's made of glass. Oda can't really blame him considering Oda's history, but it still drives Oda crazy when Dazai won't be rough with him even the slightest bit, even when Oda encourages him to.
Luckily, he knows Dazai, and he knows that taunting works on him.]
Is that all ya can do, Dazai? [He yawns, affecting boredom even while he's naked and underneath Dazai.] I barely even felt that last one.
[Maybe that's a cruel thing to say about Dazai being inside of him, but if it works, he'll apologize later. And if it doesn't work... he'll apologize later.]
[Taunting does work on Dazai, it's true, but he's here in the throes of passion doing his best, and he's being criticized? He stops his motions immediately, embarrassed.]
Waver won't call it dating, and Dazai won't contradict what Sensei says. So they're not dating, even if Dazai drops by Waver's apartment a few times a week. Even if Dazai drags him out to restaurants and movies, those aren't dates. Even if they kiss, that doesn't mean they're in a relationship.
But Dazai is a patient person, at least when it comes to winning over the people he adores. He survived murder castle - he can survive Waver being closed off and refusing to do more than kiss. He let Dazai feel him up once, that's progress...!
Today, like most days, is another visit.]
Sensei~ Are you busy?
[Even if Waver's busy, Dazai will just wait in his apartment until Waver isn't busy. But the show of accommodation for Waver's schedule is habit now, and maybe Waver will relax a tiny bit more because of it.]
[ each time waver lets dazai into his apartment, he questions his sanity more and more. maybe he never had it in the first place and this is proof of it. the fact that he lets dazai be physically affectionate with him further proves it.
this time around, waver is clearly busy. or, well, he should be. there’s a stack of papers from his students on his desk, waiting to be graded. and they will continue to wait until.... until god knows when.
today, waver wasn’t expecting dazai. that’s why he greets him in a t-shirt and boxers, his hair pulled up in a messy ponytail. he blinks sleepily at dazai, as if trying to process why he’s there. ]
Come in. I’ll... make you some tea. [ and he’ll let dazai make himself at home. it’s not like they haven’t made out in at least half of the apartment by now or anything. ]
[Here's the thing about Heigo's feelings toward Shuji - the very similarity between them that's always given Heigo his drive to protect and care for Shuji as a friend has always made him wary of considering the other man as a romantic prospect. Surely two people with the same damage, the same desperate coping mechanisms that always left the same ring of scorched earth around them when deployed, would only prove twice as destructive instead of helping each other at all?
But no one has the ability to reason away attraction, not even when they manage to compartmentalize affection well enough to ignore it most of the time. What they're starting here is a close and loving friendship with benefits, nothing more or less, and they've both made that plain. They both clearly understand the boundaries. There's no reason for an arrangement like this to go wrong.
Or at least Heigo's praying that will be the case when he knocks on Shuji's door, then tentatively opens it and steps inside, his heart galloping frantically in his chest. He's very dressed down compared to his usual professional sheen, in a simple pair of khakis and a long-sleeved t-shirt with his wavy hair hanging loose around his face.]
[A friends with benefits relationship is what they both want, and they've made it clear that's what this is. There's no problems with having that relationship, or at least not any worse than pretending they aren't attracted to each other.
Shuji emerges from his bedroom - very, very dressed down. His hair is loose and a little wet, suggesting he showered within the last few minutes and then put that on.]
[Everyone's emotions have been a little out of whack this month. Their personalities have more resembled their original selves. Sometimes that's not a huge change, and sometimes...
Shuji saw Atsushi earlier. He didn't recognize the guy he was with, but he recognized that he was flirting. And he recognized that Atsushi was smiling and acting cute. He was smiling back.
[Unfortunately Atsushi is absolutely clueless when it comes to the advances of others, so in his eyes the person he’d been talking to had been nothing more than a friendly guy asking about his day and complimenting his outfit.
Which is why he’s terribly confused when Shuji confronts him about it.]
Oh! He’s a regular at the bakery! He tends to come in before his classes a few days a week.

Stockings?
[Oh. He didn't mean to say that out loud.]

teacher/student dazai/shuji
[He's just finished making Dazai's room absolutely spotless, and has now settled on the corner of Dazai's desk.]
no subject
Ah, Shuji-kun! Always so helpful! Thank you~
[Dazai glances up from his stack of papers with a warm smile. There’s something in his gaze as he eyes the student perched on his desk that isn’t entirely innocent.]
Oh, just a bit of relaxing! You?

Shuatsu tiger Recolle AU nsfw
Atsushi is totally going into heat, and instead of the last one he’d suffered through where he only desired to be mounted and taken, this time he feels oddly aggressive, with the desire to claim.
He should probably tell his boyfriend, even if he’d rather not worry him. He’s just not comfortable feeling so aggressive, and touching himself isn’t helping...]

The library staff nods and says he was in the children's literature section earlier, giving Retasu directions. And sure enough, when Retasu finds him, he's sitting on the floor with a copy of Night on the Galactic Railroad in his lap.]

Heigo!
Shuji had warned Heigo that he would be coming - well, more gone 'hey do you mind if I drop by later?' and gotten an affirmation that Heigo would actually be there. He had not mentioned that he'd be carrying a tray full of home-cooked food, dinner for two including dessert.]
Nice to see you. Where can I put this down?
no subject
His own grooming is up to standard, at least, and he doesn't seem too frayed when he lets Shuji in - but his eyes widen at the sight of the food.]
Likew - sorry, is that an entire meal? The kitchen, as soon as you explain why you've got it in the first place.

For Dazai~
And if it doesn't work... he'll apologize later.]

hi Waver
But the show of accommodation for Waver's schedule is habit now, and maybe Waver will relax a tiny bit more because of it.]
bye dazai
this time around, waver is clearly busy. or, well, he should be. there’s a stack of papers from his students on his desk, waiting to be graded. and they will continue to wait until.... until god knows when.
today, waver wasn’t expecting dazai. that’s why he greets him in a t-shirt and boxers, his hair pulled up in a messy ponytail. he blinks sleepily at dazai, as if trying to process why he’s there. ]
Come in. I’ll... make you some tea. [ and he’ll let dazai make himself at home. it’s not like they haven’t made out in at least half of the apartment by now or anything. ]

GET OVER HERE SHUJI
Shuji...?

Shuji emerges from his bedroom - very, very dressed down. His hair is loose and a little wet, suggesting he showered within the last few minutes and then put that on.]

hi atsushi
Shuji saw Atsushi earlier. He didn't recognize the guy he was with, but he recognized that he was flirting. And he recognized that Atsushi was smiling and acting cute. He was smiling back.
When he gets to talk to Atsushi later that day-]
Who was it you were talking to earlier?
[-he doesn't even give him a proper hello.]
no subject
Which is why he’s terribly confused when Shuji confronts him about it.]
Oh! He’s a regular at the bakery! He tends to come in before his classes a few days a week.
[A nervous laugh.]
