[Shuji crouches down with him.]

I think so... Maybe a fawn?

[It's kind of small for a deer. If it's a fawn, there should be other deer nearby, but he doesn't see any right now.]

It’s so small...

[Atsushi’s eyes are alight with wonder as the mother deer emerges from a nearby bush and then starts licking her baby.]

That’s so cute...

[Atsushi is adorable when he’s fascinated with something.]

Too bad we can’t pet them.

[But Atsushi's always adorable, this isn't new??]

The mom might think we were trying to hurt her baby. We should just consider ourselves lucky we got this close.

[Any second now the two of them could decide to get going.]

You’re right. We should leave them be.

[He’s just insanely happy that he got to see something so special.

Eventually they’ll come upon a small river flowing through the forest, and Atsushi bends down to dip his fingers into the clear, cool water.]

It’s pretty...this entire forest is, actually.

[Oh look, there’s a small, pretty white flower growing by the riverside. Atsushi thinks of plucking it and putting it in Shuji’s hair, but that would end up killing it...]

Ah...I hope the river is okay, Shuji-kun.

The river is fine.

[It's not like they'll be taking a swim in it. Shuji sits down by the riverside.]

The forest is pretty, but I've been looking at you for most of the walk.

[Incorrigible.]

[Oh boy, now he’s blushing again...]

Shuji-kun...um...I’ve never really...had a boyfriend or gone on a date before, so...I’m sorry if I seem kind of lost sometimes.

[He plops down next to Shuji and gently rests his head on his shoulder.]

I just want to be a good boyfriend for you.

[Shuji wraps his arm around Atsushi.]

I didn't date you because I wanted some kind of Casanova. I'm dating you because I like you. You're sweet, and genuine, and I love spending time with you even if it's not 'the perfect date'. I don't even know what the perfect date is supposed to be.

I'm happy with you. If you're happy with me, then I think that's good enough.

Shuji-kun...

[Atsushi is tearing up now, but they’re happy tears, and he nuzzles into Shuji’s chest, smiling up at him.]

I am happy. You’re so kind, Shuji-kun, and warm...

[He tilts his head up, looking like he might just want a kiss but being too shy to go for it...]

[Shuji is less shy and has no self-control, not when it comes to his adorable boyfriend being close enough to kiss. He closes what little distance there is between them, giving Atsushi a soft, but long and lingering kiss on the lips.]

[Atsushi squeaks when Shuji kisses him, even if he’d seen it coming. His first kiss, and it’s with someone he’s been crushing on for so long. What could possibly be better? Except he has no idea what to do, so he tries to mimic Shuji’s movements and reaches up to slide his fingers through that pretty red hair. Should he try to...use tongue...or is that too much...]

[Tongue is a little much. Shuji's already pleased enough with the kiss and Atsushi's fingers in his hair - he hums, contented, before pulling an inch away.]

I could do this for hours. Just this.

[Nothing handsy, no clothes taken off, just sitting and kissing Atsushi while he plays with his hair.]

[They’ll have to head back before it gets dark of course, but for now Atsushi chases Shuji’s lips for another kiss, and then another, his fingers still toying with Shuji’s hair. It looks so flawless compared to his own...so is Shuji’s outfit...]

Shuji-kun...will you dress me up sometime?

[Every kiss seems sweeter than the one before it. Is that even possible?]

Of course I will. I want you to feel as beautiful as you deserve.

[He threads his fingers in Atsushi's hair and kisses him once again.]

[Atsushi eagerly kisses Shuji again before he feels something wet hit him square on the top of his head. When he glances up past the tops of the trees he sees storm clouds that have gathered overhead, and his expression immediately grows worried.]

Oh no...it looks like it’s going to pour any second...

[Oops. Should've checked the weather forecast. With great effort, Shuji pulls away from Atsushi and stands up.]

Fun as it would be to see you in a wet T-shirt, we'd better head back.

Y-yeah...

[Atsushi gets flustered at that comment, but they really should get going.

But he doesn’t want their date to end just yet...]

[Thank god, because he doesn't actually want to be stuck out in the rain too long.]

[He stays close as they walk along, leaning into Shuji for warmth.]

Of course you can. I just didn't want to sound pushy, or anything...

[But now that he knows Atsushi wants to come in anyway, there's a little more of a spring in Shuji's step.]

[By the time they get to Shuji’s apartment Atsushi is soaking wet and shaking a bit, but of course he does his best to hide it as he waits for Shuji to unlock the door to his apartment.]

Is it alright if I- achoo!! - ugh, sorry...I think I need a warm shower...

[Shuji unlocks his apartment as quickly as he is able to and ushers Atsushi inside.]

Please go ahead! It's the first door down that hallway to your left, the linen closet is right next door. Please feel free to use anything of mine in there.

[Shuji takes very good care of his hair and it shows in how expensive his hair products are along with his body wash. And now Atsushi knows what shampoo Shuji uses (cherry almond scented).]

[Atsushi would normally take a moment to simply step back and take in the scenery, but he’s freezing cold right now, and he takes Shuji up on his offer to use his shower right away, shedding his wet clothes the moment he enters the bathroom. As always, it takes a minute for him to figure out how to use someone else’s shower, but once he turns it on he runs a borderline scalding shower to wash away his chill.

It works, and he exits the bathroom in a cloud of steam, nothing but a towel wrapped around his hips. He’s blushing just a bit.]

U-um...do you have any spare clothes? Until mine are dry...

[While Atsushi was in the shower, Shuji's been doing what he can to warm up himself. He'd gotten his soaked clothes off him and changed into something slightly more casual (slightly, because it's Shuji and his boyfriend is here and he can't not dress to impress). He'd wiped his hair off with a towel. That would have to do.

He's just about to put on hot chocolate or another hot beverage when Atsushi emerges from the bathroom. Naked. Sure there's a towel, but that might be more tantalizing than just being naked...

All thoughts of hot chocolate are gone. All thoughts are gone, and for a minute Shuji can't even make words. He just goes bright, bright red.]

Um... I... M-my bedroom, you can borrow mine...

[Even when he regains the power of speech, he's still incredibly flustered.]

[Atsushi is already flustered, but when Shuji starts blushing and stammering as well it’s amplified times ten, and he darts down the hall to Shuji’s bedroom, his entire body beet red as he shuts the door behind him. He doesn’t lock it, of course, because that seems rude, but his heart is pounding already, and the thought of Shuji walking in on him completely nude gets his blood pumping in ways he’s wholly unfamiliar with.

It takes a good few minutes for his frazzled brain to catch up, and finally he’s able to look through Shuji’s closet for some clothes. Everything is so fashionable...

He settles on a plain black sweater and some kind of designer jeans...and pair of fancy red underwear...

By the time he emerges from the bedroom he’s flustered beyond all reason, smelling like Shuji and wearing his clothes...]

Um...is there anything I can do to help you out? Laundry or making tea or something?

[Shuji has managed to mostly calm himself down by the time Atsushi emerges from the bedroom. Water is heating for hot chocolate, he's blow dried his hair, everything is fine.]

Absolutely not. You're a guest in my house, I won't let you do any work here.
