[Yokohama's library is home to the effort to restore literature, but besides that, it functions as a normal library. While literature is disappearing, there are so many books in the world that a library can still provide a decent number of books for loan, and nonfiction seems to have been spared entirely.

While not delving into tainted books, Atsushi likes to wander around the library. It's nice to see libraries are still an important resource in this day and age, and won't be disappearing any time soon.

He's far too nervous to approach normal people, of course, but there are exceptions to every rule.]

Ah - sir? Y-you're not allowed to eat in the library.

[And one of those exceptions is what if he messes up the books?! That's enough for even Atsushi to swallow his shyness and speak to a stranger.]

Whatever the case, you're not living on your own: you have someone you're sharing living space with, whether you like it or not, and whether you like them or not.

Unbeknownst to Valmont, that was a month of seriously uncharacteristic self-reflection. A month where he'd had the inklings of Actual Feelings being involved and decided to squash them by not seeing Valmont for a while.

It hadn't worked. The more he avoided Valmont, the more he wanted to see him, until finally, one night-]

1. Ango isn't here.

2. Dazai is really drunk. The kind of drunk that has Odasaku concerned that he might be trying to die through liver failure. That drunk.

[For some time now, Dazai had been... the center of unusual occurrences.

Calling them 'supernatural' wasn't precisely it, since Dazai dealt with supernatural abilities on a regular basis. These were on a much smaller scale, barely fit to be called 'disturbances'.

Pens falling off his desk with no apparent cause. Books being closed one moment and open the next time anyone glanced their way, only when in Dazai's presence. In the most dramatic incident, a roll of bandages had caught fire.

No one could adequately explain what was going on, not even Ranpo, although he did shoot down most theories besides Atsushi's somewhat joking "maybe you're being haunted, Dazai-san?"

There's a whiteboard in the agency's planning room, which Dazai is currently occupying by himself. The markers are capped and definitely immobile.]

DAZAI

[But that wasn't written on the board the last time Dazai glanced that way, about two seconds ago.]

Dialo - she had been Teufel for a long time, but she was properly Dialo and no witch would ever change that - had eventually decided on a wish. To be able to travel between the worlds under her own power. To be able to see the friends she'd made once she left Koriko.

Of course, Selenite was high on that list - the highest. So it was with only some care to her appearance - a long coat with a hood wouldn't fool anyone who actually looked at her and noticed the weird spots the coat bulged, but it would at least get her to Selenite's mansion without being accosted.

And what a mansion it was. The only more ridiculously lavish building Dialo could think of was Koriko's hotel.

"...I hope he's in right now. I should have gotten his phone number."

She rings the doorbell.

The sight of Kantera wandering around the Nameless Town isn't too uncommon. Neither is him mumbling to himself.

"I swear that I just had it yesterday, where could I possibly have dropped it...?"

He's genuinely concerned about this. More so than when he drops the Dragon Compass, perhaps.

(It would be bad if someone else picked it up. He'd never live it down.)

[As far as safe Netherworlds go, it'd probably be Toto Bunny that's the most known for being peaceful - but Flowerful isn't far behind. There aren't many residents, and those who do aren't very interested in figthing.

And everything is over now. If absolutely necessary, Christo could simply return to Celestia - though it would pain him deeply to do so.

...But he thinks he won't have to. No - he knows he won't have to. This is Killia, and though Christo's misjudged him many times before, he has absolute faith in him now.]
