non-trial Alice murdergame stuff
This post is basically a catch-all for stuff from a pretend murdergame round and Alice, because throwing her in there could only be a good idea, right.
Hit me up with anything at any point! Introductions, weekly stuff, parties, afterparties, even the final investigation I don't care. I just want to play her in this kind of setting with this kind of CR.
Her title is Restrictive because I'm mean.

I don't get any of this.

[It gives her name as Nagi "Alice" Arisuin, and includes one of her dislikes as "herself", so at least they have one thing done politely.]
no subject
[The profile says "Kara Zor-El" and lists her title as "Destructive," the latter of which probably explains why she looks like a ball of nerves.]

Please call me Alice. I'll answer to Nagi if you really, really must.

for Zeroken!
It was an elaborate ritual, complex beyond anything Alice had ever previously performed. There were glyphs to be drawn, candles to be lit, chants to be recited... Most importantly, notes left behind indicated that it was dangerous if performed incorrectly. If the person performing the ritual messed up even a tiny fraction, there was a chance that they'd be joining the dead on the other sign, instead of the other way around.
But they had no better options, and there wasn't a shortage of volunteers.
Alice wasn't the one picked to recite the chant, but she did draw the gylphs, and checked and rechecked them before allowing the ceremony to be performed. As she watched, there was a single thought in her mind-
Please work. Please work.]
no subject
But once they left the trial room the ability of the dead to watch the proceedings was cut off, and they were on their own. What now? Were they going to move on? Or were they trapped here forever?
Zeroken was trying to cheer the others up, but even he was starting to despair when-
-he was suddenly shocked awake, yipping in shock and skittering to his feet]
W-wha-?!
no subject
[She'd recognize that voice and that face anywhere. A look of pure delight crosses her features, and this time, for once, it isn't faked.
Alice approaches Zeroken with quick steps. Around them, other members of the dead are reappearing, but they're not important right now. She's not normally the impulsive type, but if there's ever an occasion to be overwhelmed by emotion-
She leans down and smooches him right on the lips.
Welcome back.]

[His words get eaten by the kiss. His face bursts into bright red and he manages a very subpar kiss back before he really thinks about it]
no subject
After a few moments, she breaks the kiss and steps back enough to let him catch his breath.]
I missed you ♥
[That was probably pretty obvious.]

Okay, my turn! Uh... Never have I ever won a ten-ice game. I mean, I only ever played the one time, y'see, and then I heard a purse-snatching a couple of blocks away. Super hearing, right? Ahaha.
[She means tennis.]

I'm not the best at tennis, but I've won a few times. Never have I ever... received flowers from a man.
[Girls yes.]

Never have I ever... cried my way out of detention?

Never have I ever skinned my knee.

His title is Aberrant so I guess here we go
...it had been one hell of a ride, but he'd figured if anything happened for the worse, Elle was more than capable of handling things on her own. And though no one had quite gotten around to getting their memories back this early in the game, well, he doubted that had changed.
But that was just him. There were all sorts of things worth killing for, and the week had gone by with Pierce harboring a persistent uneasiness in his soul. So when he and Alice had found pieces of Jyushimatsu scattered across the floor of the bar area, frozen solid with what appeared to be liquid nitrogen... he hated to say it, but he was just a little surprised it hadn't come sooner.
And then Ghetsis had been exposed to everyone, engaged with his fellow captives in an epic MTB, and executed. Pierce was so tired of everything by that point.
Everyone was so tired, but Ghetsis' last middle finger to everyone else was that no one felt like sleeping. Which is why Pierce was where he was now: in the kitchen, making pancakes and bacon and eggs for everyone because damn it, breakfast is what he defaults to whenever he's pressed for time and lacks the energy to come up with anything else.
When Alice comes in through the door, he pushes a loaded plate her way. Maybe he doesn't know her very well, but...hey. He's a father, and while Alice isn't exactly a 'kid' objectively, she's sure as shit a kid to him.]

[That's not true - it had been a long and intense trial, and she's starving.
But she didn't trust any food she didn't prepare herself or see prepared. It might not be Thursday, but poison could take a long time to work, and nothing said that murder had to be on that day of the week...
She pours herself a glass of water, instead.]
How are you holding up?
no subject
[He'll cover that tray with a plastic wrap in case you change your mind. Once he's found a good pausing point in his work, he turns the stove off for a moment. Don't wanna accidentally kill anyone by setting the stove on fire.]
I'd say things could be a lot better, but...isn't that what everybody else is probably thinking?
[He just wants to be done with this bullshit and see his family again, really.]
Can't say I wasn't expecting Ghetsis to murder someone.
Wasn't expecting it to be...like this.
[WHY JYUSHI. HE ACTUALLY LIKED JYUSHI. EVERYONE LOVED JYUSHI or at least tolerated his boundless energy. WHY WAS THE MURDER METHOD SO FUCKED UP. What the fuck is wrong with you, Ghetsis.]
no subject
[He probably didn't need all that much encouragement. Jyushimatsu being the one to die was unfortunate, since most people seemed to like him, but... well.
Alice can't say she actually cares about him in particular. It's nothing personal, but it does make this afterparty easier to handle.]
It's not a very pleasant way to murder somebody, if any murder method can be called pleasant. I shouldn't have been so surprised.

open for anyone (alive at this point I guess??)
Alice is pretty sure she knows what she'll hear, once their captor starts listing off their darkest secrets.
Nagi Arisuin is an assassin employed by a terrorist organization.
She's not wrong, either.
Her face falls to something carefully neutral, and remains that way as she listens to the rest, completely silent.]
no subject
So naive and eager to please. Thanks, Granny.]
Alice, that's... you, right?
no subject
[It's on the profiles, no reason to deny it.
Alice isn't looking at her.]
no subject
[No, Supergirl, you just imagined that. She can't even hear the next secret read out -- it belongs to someone who's died, anyway.]

Honestly, while this is the absolute last thing he expected from Alice, he's not going to say too much about it. He knows he's fucked up. Everyone in this pit kind of is, except for a few sweet little souls who he's pretty sure did nothing to deserve this. But-
"But that's not all, folks! Marcus Pierce willingly helped a soul-eating abomination win a cosmic turf war, knowing she planned to one day destroy humanity."
...you know what, Alice, he's not exactly in a position where he can judge you once that one comes blasting over the intercoms, even if he wanted to. He's spoken just a little about his family since coming here, but nothing that even came near suggesting that, of all things, was his darkest secret.
He continues to stand where he is, glancing at her from the corner of his eye.
Finally, he takes a seat neat one of the tables and sighs deeply.
This is going to be... a thing.]
no subject
When the secrets are done being announced, she considers her options for a few moments, then sits down at the same table.]
...Was it worth it?
[Her voice doesn't have the same energy it usually does, and her eyes are lacking warmth.]
no subject
[After a few seconds, he brings his eyes up to meet hers.]
But despite everything? To me, it was.
I don't think anyone here actually knows much of anything about my wife.
[I mean, most of the other people here know he's married and has two daughters, and have probably assumed that they can also use magic, but beyond that...
If Alice caught the pronoun there, that's a lady soul-eating abomination we're talking about...at least as far as gender applies to horrorterrors, anyway. He's hoping she can put two and two together, here.]
