[Tonight, Dazai is really drunk.

This is not different from most other nights in their favorite bar, save for a few things.

1. Ango isn't here.

2. Dazai is really drunk. The kind of drunk that has Odasaku concerned that he might be trying to die through liver failure. That drunk.

And so, it's with hesitation that he speaks up.]

Maybe you should stop drinking for tonight.

You're sick, but if you got here safely I doubt it's serious.

Up. I'm getting you to bed.

[He'll carry you if he has to.]

[ninjou]

When I die, don't just say nice things. Tell the truth... tell everyone I'm a terrible boyfriend...

[He's up, he's up. Leaning on Odasaku is a thing though.]

Are you going to hold me?

[tenimuho]

You are not a terrible boyfriend.

[And yes, he is holding Dazai close and supporting him as they start towards the bedroom. Thankfully it's not a big apartment.]

[ninjou]

I'm all talk... I should...... kiss you but then you'd die too.

[HUFF. He behaves, struggling a bit but eventually making it to the bed.]

[tenimuho]

I'd survive.

[But he doesn't really want to catch what Dazai has, either.]

I need you to take off your coat. You shouldn't be wearing such heavy clothing when you're sick.

[His regular clothes will stay on, though. That's a different kind of discomfort.]

[ninjou]

[Coat... coat... ah, right. He shrugs off the outer coat and begins to fuss with his suit jacket.]

I'm going to make you sick...

[tenimuho]

I know better than to go walking around when I'm sick. I'll be fine.

[Miserable, but fine.]

[ninjou]

I'm so sick... don't kiss me...

[A broken record...]

You'll be sick. I don't want you to be sick.

[tenimuho]

Alright. I won't kiss you until you're better.

[It'll be for everyone's sake. Even Dazai, who will probably still pout about it.]

[ninjou]

[Oh he's already pouting.]

Can I sleep? I need to work but I want to sleep so I'm hiding...

[tenimuho]

Call in sick. You'll infect all your subordinates if you go in today.

[ninjou]

I lost my phone.

[It's in his coat pocket.]

[tenimuho]

Where have you looked?

[Dazai, seriously.]

[ninjou]

[.....]

My hands.

[tenimuho]

Your phone is not supposed to be glued to your hands, Dazai.

[ninjou]

I'm sorry.....

[Flopping into bed now.]

[tenimuho]

It's alright. I'll look for it for you.

[Of course he checks Dazai's coat pockets first, like any reasonable person would.]

[ninjou]

[Dazai manages to get his tie off, too, and curls up on top of the blankets, face buried in the pillows.]

You're so handsome today...

[tenimuho]

[No, Dazai's delirious and talking to pillows.]

Here's your phone. [He sets it by Dazai's head.] You should call in before you pass out.

[ninjou]

[He looks up and takes the phone, flopping onto his back and selecting a contact.

He sounds perfectly fine as he discusses a few things and lets them know he'll be out for a couple of days... then hangs up and drops the phone on the bed.]

[tenimuho]

If I hadn't seen you fall on my floor, I'd think you were faking sick.

[That is some impressive not-sounding-sick ability.]

[ninjou]

I'm a very good actor.

[And now he sounds like death again.]

...water?

[tenimuho]

[He sure is. Odasaku fetches him a full bottle of water from his fridge, and returns.]

Anything else?

[ninjou]

[Dazai, confirmed dramatist.]

Water is good... I don't feel like eating or anything.

[tenimuho]

You can nap for now. I'll make you soup when you wake up, even if you still don't feel like eating.

[It's good for you.]
