[ In a location that's as close to a back corner as he can get, sits a moving statue. He's person shaped but nothing else about him is remotely human -- slate-grey rock skin with darker clusters of pebbles around his eyes and chin, long goblin ears, blue-grey hair that glints like metal (wires, to be specific). He usually has a hood and mask on but just now he's busy jotting something or another in his notebook, sorcerer's habit. He gets only so consumed by one thing: trying to undo all the inhuman parts of him. ]

[ He's incredibly strong (physically and with magic) and even more sensitive about his looks. You'll have your work cut out for you with this one. ]

[Immediately beelining for the corner, beaming.]

[She looks - and is - totally human, but absolutely unphased by his appearance. Or maybe unphased isn't the right word, given that her eyes are sparkling.]

[ He looks up at her. His stone face isn't the most expressive, but it's clear he's surprised. Clearly he heard her wrong, no one ever asks to sit with him. In fact, everyone tends to move as far away as they can get from the rock monster. ]

I'm sorry? [ He has one of those smoky voices that's easy on the ears. ]

Can I sit with you, or is this spot taken already?

[It's entirely possible it is! He should be popular, he's cute.]

...i think it would be really funny if they met while she was on a job dealing with a troublesome ghost that was giving her problems and he was also on his duty to clean up lingering anger and regrets and helped her out by just kind of nomming the ghost]

[ So. This job went differently than usual.

The ghost that had been major hassle ( between distorting house layouts and also throwing her own bike at her ) has been swiftly dealt with, thanks to her new companion she met while trying to hunt the damn entity down. And despite Grimm radiating power which reminded her of her very powerful, non-human grandmother, he's... actually not as terrifying.

Especially since he basically just ate that ghost and now she won't have to worry about it hurting anyone ever again. So she's quiet as she sighs, before she turns to Grimm and bows a head in gratitude. ]

Thank you for your help... That spirit had been giving me trouble for a while.

[He's here for his own purposes, so it feels wrong to take credit for helping her as a side effect of that - but he certainly won't complain about helping a nice young woman.

He bows back, low and with more of a flourish.]

[ O-oh, should she bow a little more? She bows a little more anyway, she's not so prideful to not show respect - at least those lessons from her grandmother are coming in handy. ]

[Lapis is wonderful. Sure she's not exactly human, but she's not malicious like the ghosts he knows. She's sweet and kind and good to hug.

-And she sure can hug, with the ability to reshape herself the way she likes. He feels warm, like being wrapped in a blanket. Suga squeezes her gently and hides his red face in her shoulder.]

[ While she does attempt to keep up her human guise, she's glad that Suga doesn't mind the more... nebulous parts of her. Her shadows coil and blanket around him, while her human arms are wrapped around his shoulders - a gently hum escaping her as he hides against her shoulder. ]

[ She's not too worried, though - she noticed how red he is. ]

That's undoubtedly true. She showers Suga with affection and praise that he's never had before. She is full of love for every human being. What would you call that, if not kind?

And yet - Suga is afraid of her. His stomach twists itself into knots when she touches him, even as the part of him that desperately wants contact leans into the touch.]

[ she loves all humanity. she loves every last human that lives, breathes, thinks atop her - every single one. and right now, koutarou suga is the human she loves most. she wants to touch him - to really touch him, not with this facsimile of a body and fingers that don't quite feel like real fingers.

and now, after so many years alone, she's finally found a way to do it.

and so she's called for him, a siren song for his ears only. i miss you, koutarou suga, and i want to see you, koutarou suga, and i love you, i love you, i love you, koutarou suga. maybe it strikes him as odd, how easily her voice reaches him - not in the museum basement he can see "her" in, but in his bedroom, in his work, in his day to day life. constant little reassurances. i am here. i love you. i will be waiting.

I have a special surprise for you, Koutarou Suga. [ she says it proudly. the way a child shows their parent a drawing, or perhaps the way the parent announces they'll put it on the fridge. perhaps both. ] I've been working for a very long time on it. Will you come see?
