This is a post for me voicetesting Gin. Hit me up with thread starters for Gin (Port Mafia coworkers? Ran into her in casualwear? Enemy organization where she can't just attack you immediately? Generic jamjar? You're dating Akutagawa Ryuunosuke and have to meet the family??) or give me a character and I'll come up with a thread starter.

[Gin shakes her head silently. She doesn't have much in the way of hobbies, so it's a question without an answer.]

Take a little time, when you find it, to do something a little bit fun. It makes the job stress easy to manage if you have something to do for fun when you're not training.

[ogin]

[The look Gin gives Chloe is dubious. Who has time for that when they have to balance it with mafia work?]

[true_noir]

[She gave her a beatific look right back, like it wasn't that big of a deal. Of course, the truth was that this reflected how limited of a person Chloe could be. The only thing she was ever asked to do by Soldats was kill. Anything focused on that, she knew and prepared for, but between those times, she tended to simply be left to her devices.]

mmm, just give it a chance. I'm sure you will find something fun to do.

[ogin]

...Thank you.

[That's the only thing Gin can think of to say in return. Even if she has her doubts, Chloe doesn't have any reason to offer her advice like this. They'll likely not see each other again after Gin returns to Yokohama.

[As she started to finish up her lemon ice, she sighed a little and looked up at a clock in the distance. Oh, no matter how much she might wish it, because it could be so difficult to find people she could identify with, there was no way to avoid the passage of time.]

Mmmm, I fear it is time for cinderella to disappear to her great steel coach soon, is it not?

[ogin]

[Gin nods. For some reason, she wishes she was staying for a little longer, even though there's no more work to be done.

How strange.

She hesitates for a moment longer, then writes something down on a napkin and hands it to Chloe on her way out, not waiting long enough to see her reaction.

It's her phone number.]

[Chloe took it while she smiled at the woman's departure, waving once. Slipping it into her pocket, she'd send a text to Gin later on, perhaps in the next hour or two, while she'd be waiting on her flight.]

Miss you already. This is a burn phone, by the way, so I'll send you a new number if it changes.

[ogin]

[Why is there a delay for her plane home... Nothing to do but bear it and check her phone.]

It hasn't been that long.

Oh, it's just something people say. Don't pay it too much mind. I did, however, want to make sure you had my number quickly enough. Wouldn't do not to share both ways would it?

Fly safely.

[ogin]

The plane is late. Right now I'm not flying anywhere.

[true_noir]

You will soon enough. And in time, you'll get used to this sort of thing. It takes a little practice to really get used to it. It doesn't come naturally to our line of wor.

[ogin]

It's not so bad.

If it weren't massive a security risk, I would start writing my report on the plane. The boss prefers to be thorough.

[true_noir]

And it is easier while the memory is fresh. Sadly, those things are walking security risks, as we both know. Still, I'm sure you'll remember the details when the time comes. I remember every one of mine.

[ogin]

An assassin being memorable is also a security risk.

[true_noir]

I suppose the only real solution to that is when their identity is only as an assassin, so there's no real record beyond that.

[ogin]

I'm not used to socializing on the job.

[true_noir]

I admit, I don't do it much. There aren't many kindred spirits out there I can do that with. Most of them are a bit beneath us.

[ogin]

'Beneath us'?

[true_noir]

Capable knights and soldiers, but they are not the bishops and rooks that a true master of the art is, if that makes sense.

[ogin]

I see. I don't talk much to anyone.

[true_noir]

I only speak with the people that I find I enjoy the company of, so we share that a little in common.

[ogin]

Some of my coworkers don't know that I'm a woman.

Usually the ones that aren't very bright.

[true_noir]

I am less than surprised. You do a good job of appearing neutral enough to leave those not careful guessing. The mask is identifiable enough, but you're good at being non-descript.

[ogin]

The shocked reactions get old very quickly.
