[Very few people get this dressed up for a bar crawl. It looks like it'd be hell to wash, and the only reason you'd wear it out to the bar is an obsession with fashion.

So that's one clue about who this patron sitting at a table is, since he forgot to tell other-Dazai how to identify himself. As for him, when he sees Dazai come in with bandages visible on his arms, he makes an (incorrect) assumption that this is the injury that caused that text and thus this is Dazai.

Well, he's half right, at least.]

[Dazai turns the vibrator back on maximum, which will most likely grant Shuji the sweet release he’s been begging for.]

[Shuji's answer - yes, of course, there's never going to be anyone else ever again - is cut off by a cry of pleasure as Dazai finally allows him to come. He spills white all over his stomach, shuddering until the last of the aftershocks have left him.

Shuji drags a finger through the come on his stomach, before licking it off of his finger.]

But he should’ve taken his pain meds, because if Shuji looks closely, he’ll see Dazai breaking out into a cold sweat and breathing harder than usual...

He clutches his side, and his hand comes away stained with blood.

[Shuji yelps the second he sees that blood, and practically jumps out of bed. Nothing like seeing someone you love bleeding to get rid of that post-coital high.]

[And as opposed to the 'sexy nurse' mentioned earlier, Shuji is all business when he insists on cleaning Dazai's injury and then bandaging him up carefully. He may even argue with Dazai if it comes to that.]

[Dazai is about to say that none of this is necessary, but in all actuality it totally is.]

I haven’t taken my pain pills at all. Would you grab them for me? They’re on the counter downstairs.

[Already on his way to grab them, aaaand he's back with pills and a glass of water in record time.]

Here you go. Two pills every four hours.

[Dazai usually doesn’t bother with pain medication, but sometimes it’s nice to get lost in a form of escape...

Dazai pops four pills in his mouth and swallows them down with the water, not at all concerned about side effects.]

[It’s not long before Dazai begins to feel trippy, as if his head is filled with cotton balls. Or like he’s floating on air. Or both. The world might also be spinning a bit, but that could be from the blood loss.

His lips are also much looser than they’ve ever been.]

Shuji-kun. What if I told you that I think I love you?

[His pupils are blown and he looks not quite there, but the question is a serious one.]

[Shuji's well aware of what being high on painkillers does to a person. He remembers his addiction to morphine, feeling like everything was wonderful whenever he was high and not censoring himself at all.

He's grounded right now, though. And Dazai's question makes him go wide-eyed and red-faced.]

I'd - I was going to tell you the same thing, I was just working up the nerve...

[But now that Dazai's said it first, it gives Shuji the courage to come out with it.]

[Dazai’s smile is wide and unsettling, but he really is happy to hear that.]

Would you die for me if I asked you to?

[That really is something that Shuji should have to think about. But he doesn't.

[He pulls Shuji close on his good side and presses a kiss to the top of his head. So sweet...]

How would you want to die, Kitten? I’d want it to be in my arms. Nothing messy. I want to appreciate your beauty as I take my last breath alongside you.

[It says a lot that Shuji has already considered this, and thus can easy give an answer while he snuggles into Dazai's side.]

Suffocation. Pill overdose made me sick the times I've tried it, that's not beautiful at all. I haven't tried suffocation before. I want you to be my first and my last.

If you wanted to, you could strangle me yourself.

[Dazai’s eyes sparkle a bit as he considers other methods. What is wrong with them?]

What about exsanguination? Lying next to each other as we bleed out and turn pale. It would be breathtakingly beautiful.

[So many things are wrong with them.]

I'd turn blue anyway. Spirits like me start to break down when we're close to death and get ink marks all over them, it's not pretty. And we get a little weird in the head, too, so I'd want something where I'd pass out before I got that close to dying.

What about poison?

[Ink marks? He’s kind of curious to see it now, but he’ll respect Shuji’s wishes.]

A fast acting one would be nice. We could share it through our mouths~

Twice. The second try, double suicide with a mistress, was what finally let me die.

[He doesn't remember the scene clearly, but he knows what happened in the sort of objective way you get from reading an article about it.]

The first attempt... My partner died, but I survived.

[He carried the guilt from 'betraying' her by surviving for a long time.]

Watching someone you care about die is nothing like watching an enemy die. He doesn’t ever want to experience it again.]

[Without thinking about it, Shuji touches his neck. It's not the lace of the collar he's remembering, but rope.]
