Continuation for bandagedheart.

[Very few people get this dressed up for a bar crawl. It looks like it'd be hell to wash, and the only reason you'd wear it out to the bar is an obsession with fashion.

So that's one clue about who this patron sitting at a table is, since he forgot to tell other-Dazai how to identify himself. As for him, when he sees Dazai come in with bandages visible on his arms, he makes an (incorrect) assumption that this is the injury that caused that text and thus this is Dazai.

Well, he's half right, at least.]

[Dazai is a very intelligent man, and he could’ve sniffed out this other Dazai from the power of deduction alone, especially considering he stands out like a sore thumb with that outfit. A vain, preening peacock of a man, Dazai thinks. He waves and approaches other-Dazai with a deceptively warm smile, not bothering to ask permission before he takes a seat right across from him.]

Good evening! So well dressed! You look quite lovely~

[Dazai waves over a waitress and orders himself a glass of whiskey.]

And whatever you would like, of course!

[Definitely a preening peacock - you can practically see him sparkle with pride when other-Dazai compliments him.]

Another whiskey for me.

And you have good taste in alcohol! Color me impressed.

[Not really, but he’s having fun, so why not play along? The waitress is quick to bring their drinks, and Dazai takes a sip of his before turning his attention back to other-Dazai with a dashing smile.]

So, how did you ever find time to come meet me like this, hmm?

[If Dazai is just trying to see if he can get this Dazai to glow more and more with every compliment: it's working.]

Lucky for me, an author's schedule is flexible. And we need breaks anyway. Stress isn't good for anyone's writing skills.

[Also his actual job only sends him on a couple book delves a day, and the rest of the time he's pretty much free. And he isn't actually writing a book right now.]

[Dazai is a notorious flirt, though only those who’ve been around him long enough would know that little tidbit. Luckily for him, other-Dazai seems incredibly easy to woo with words, and Dazai doesn’t have any urgent business that needs attending tonight, so why not try his luck?]

I suppose you’ve already got a special someone, hmm? A lovely lady?

[He is the easiest.]

Oh - well, I'm not dating anyone right at the moment.

[And he's pretty sure his second marriage was dissolved by him dying, so that doesn't count... if it even did in the first place when he moved in with his mistress while still married...

Let's not think about that too much.]

What about you? You're not hard on the eyes either.

[Even if he should dress much more stylishly.]

Oh? Well now that’s certainly a surprise!

[Not really; Dazai can tell a player when he sees one, and faithfulness does not come across as a priority for other-Dazai. Another win for him!

Dazai chuckles, swirling the whiskey in his glass and leaning his chin on his hand.]

You flatter me! [A hum.] Dating? No one.

[A beautiful woman to commit suicide with would be nice, but he’s down for a few one night stands before that.]

Isn’t that a coincidence? Two Dazais, both handsome, and both dateless on such a lovely night...

[Dazai finishes off his whiskey with another grin. Being Dazai’s date is certainly an experience...one that usually ends with him in bed with someone.]

Now then, I have to wonder, where does such an esteemed author call home?

[Of all the questions that should make someone freeze up, that wouldn't be high on the list, and it would usually be for entirely different reasons than why Dazai hesitates right now.

But he's aware that he's paused long enough that there's no chance of it going unnoticed, and anyway love hotels are expensive, so...]

[That’s not the worst place he’s heard of someone living, not by a long shot, but it’s still a bit odd. Dazai orders them both another whiskey for good measure, because he can tell that that question has made other-Dazai tense, for whatever reason, and he’s not about to let this evening be ruined.]

I’ve been there a few times. It’s quite impressive!

[A hum.]

We'd have to keep it down in the library, so your place would be better. Don't you think so?

[Redirect this to flirting! Everything's okay and he is not going to have to explain that he's a dead person, because that would probably ruin the sex.]

[It’s a good thing that Dazai has a high alcohol tolerance, because he downs another glass of whiskey before he’s finally ready to move on. Pleasantly buzzed? Yes. Drunk? Nah.]

Whenever you’re ready, I’ll whisk you away to my humble abode~

[He means that he has a cab waiting outside, because he’s too stingy to let just anyone ride in his personal car.]

[It's for the best, because other-Dazai's driving would give Dazai a heart attack. And then no sex would happen.

Dazai finishes off his whiskey and rises from his chair.]

[Dazai leads the way out to the waiting cab, and even goes so far as to open the door for other-Dazai like a proper gentleman. Once they’re inside he scoots over to make room before giving the driver instructions to his swanky apartment on the outskirts of Yokohama. It pays to be an ex-Mafia sometimes, really, especially when it comes to luxuries and connections.

Once they arrive Dazai leads the way into the building and summons an elevator, and oh look, now they’re in a tiny, enclosed space together...]

I do hope you’ll enjoy your evening...

[Dazai finally breaks the ice between them by reaching up and brushing some of those pretty red bangs out of other-Dazai’s face, his fingers tracing along his jawline quite on purpose.]

[As easy as Dazai is to flatter, he's equally easy to make blush. Just that gentle touch is enough to make pink come to his cheeks.]

I - I'll be disappointed if you don't enjoy yours.

[Player he may be, but he's not selfish in bed.

He brushes the back of Dazai's neck with his own fingers - what parts of it aren't covered by bandages, anyway.]

The more potential vulnerability Dazai sees in other-Dazai, the more he wants to devour him and leave him desperate for more, but he’s a very patient man, and when the elevator dings on the floor of his suite he doesn’t hesitate to step backwards out of it with a come hither motion of his finger.]

[Dazai gestures to the wide open room before promptly plopping down on the couch and patting the cushion next to him.]

[Dazai follows after other-Dazai and hoooooly shit this is the lap of luxury. It definitely beats Dazai's room in the library, and also every other house he's lived in since adulthood.

He could gawk (holy shit how expensive is that piano), but other-Dazai is patting the cushion next to him and it redirects his attention away from other-Dazai's apartment and towards other-Dazai. Dazai sits down on the couch, not touching other-Dazai... yet.]

[Ex-Mafia isn’t such a bad position to be in really, if you don’t mind the constant threat of being either pulled back into the fold or killed.

He has no idea how expensive that piano is, or anything else in the apartment for that matter, because he’d hired someone else to furnish it for him. Turns out they had excellent taste, because the couch is extremely plush while still looking fancy, and yes, Dazai has totally had sex on it before.

His eyes follow other-Dazai’s every move, almost like a predator sizing up its prey, and when other-Dazai finally sits down he takes the initiative and reaches out to gently turn other-Dazai’s chin until they’re face to face.]

It is nice, isn’t it? Especially the view of the city below...

[Dazai’s voice is almost a purr as he leans in close enough that his breath ghosts over other-Dazai’s lips.]

But this is a rather lovely view as well~

[He thinks he’ll hold other-Dazai in suspense of whether he’s going to be kissed or not, just to mess with him.]

[Messing with Dazai is incredibly easy. Dazai thinks he may have stopped breathing, when other-Dazai leans so close but doesn't kiss him. He thinks he's gripping onto the extremely plush couch.]

He could be a complete ass and pull away without sealing the deal, but he’s always been rather fond of kissing when there’s no feelings attached, so why not? He closes the distance between them and captures other-Dazai’s lips in a soft, yet heated kiss.

He hums contentedly against other-Dazai’s (very soft) lips before daring to tangle his fingers in that fiery red hair. He could leave it at that, but sliding his tongue along other-Dazai’s bottom lip to tease sounds much more fun, and he does exactly that.]

[Dazai will absolutely obsessively fix his hair later, but that's later. For now, playing with his hair gets an answering hum, and teasing his lip gets a soft gasp.

Dazai - fuck it, he can't stick to his pen name when it's this confusing, Shuji - wraps his arms around Dazai's shoulders and leans further into the kiss.]

[Dazai takes advantage of that gasp to slip his tongue inside of Shuji’s mouth, and though whiskey is the most prominent taste on both of their tongues, Dazai finds the kiss to be pleasantly sweet as well. While one hand stays tangled in Shuji’s hair the other sneaks beneath the fabric of his shirt, and Dazai lets his fingers dance over the planes of Shuji’s abdomen all the way up to squeeze his chest. Breasts he doesn’t have, but Dazai teases one nipple between his thumb and forefinger all the same.]

[Breasts he doesn't have, but when Dazai teases his nipples Shuji can't help but moan into Dazai's mouth. So it's about as good as squeezing a breast, or at least Shuji would say so.

He tries to unbutton Dazai's shirt. If Dazai has any complaints about that, he should voice them now, because Shuji just wants to return the favor and make Dazai thrum with pleasure like Shuji is now.]

[Dazai has no protests about being undressed, and he only breaks the kiss because exploring other sensitive areas with his mouth seems like a fun idea. He presses featherlight kisses along Shuji’s jawline, down to his neck, and when he feels that thrumming pulse beneath his lips he gives the flesh above it a playful nip.

He could keep up this teasing all night, honestly, or until Shuji gets needy enough to ask for more.]
