Heh. I can think of plenty of people who'd call me vain for drinking to that one. Lucky I'm drinking with you instead.
[Chuuya drinks, naturally.]
Well, never have I ever been a sexy redhead.

BAD END (tw: bsd mori ougai exists and is terrible)
Miyazawa-sensei is as talented a poet as he was at the end of his life, but mentally and emotionally he's only a child. If someone takes an interest in him that's beyond normal - and it's far beyond normal, there's no reason that man in the coat would have run into him so often if he wasn't seeking him out and there's no reason he should have so much physical contact with him -
If that happens, and Kenji comes to Chuuya and whispers "I'm afraid to go out today," then Chuuya can't allow this person to continue to exist. Chuuya knows there's even more that Kenji hasn't told him.
So Chuuya accompanies Kenji outside, and when Kenji freezes up at the sight of one man in a doctor's coat, Chuuya doesn't hesitate to try to shoot him.
It's deflected, which should just not happen with bullets, and the fact that it was deflected by a small girl doesn't put him any more at ease. The noise draws attention, and Mori and that girl disappear rather than counterattack in front of a crowd, but not before Chuuya snarls at him:
"As long as I'm in this world, I won't stop trying to kill you."
As for the other Chuuya, he's given an assignment: there's a gunman who's declared his intent to kill Mori no matter what. Mori describes him in detail, down to the hat, and expresses his confidence that Chuuya can take care of this without issue.]

If he betrays poet-Chuuya he might just die of a broken heart. If he betrays the Mafia, he’ll die anyway.]
You know what this is about, right?
no subject
[There's nothing about that creep that says 'Port Mafia' specifically. As far as Chuuya knows, he's a disgusting sack of shit, but he isn't his boyfriend's boss.
The name he'd given Kenji was 'Rintarou', not 'Mori Ougai'. And as he knows from Dazai, the not-authors use the authors' pen names. So there's no relation.]
no subject
He’s my boss. Mori Ougai.
Goes by Rintarou on occasion.
no subject
[That makes everything worse, because while he didn't know - it had nothing to do with the Port Mafia. And even knowing his association with Chuuya now...]
He hurt one of the children's literature authors. So you know why I can't just take it back, right?
[He won't allow the children in his care to come to harm. Not again, not in this life.]
no subject
I just don’t know what to do because I’ve been ordered to eliminate you.
Like hell I’m going to do that.
no subject
[Not even for Miyazawa-sensei. Definitely not for his own life.]
no subject
I’m almost tempted to let you kill him and then defect.
No guarantees I would make it out alive, though.

This is a fine fucking mess we’re in.
I can’t believe the Boss would go after the kid authors like that.
Maybe I should kill him myself.
no subject
Maybe we should both kill him.
Even we don't get out of this mess intact, I'll be okay with whatever happens as long as I'm still with you.
no subject
Let’s do it.
If we die, we die together.
There’s no other way I wanna go.
no subject
Can I see you in person?
[To plan, and also to prepare for the worst.]
no subject
Let’s meet at the library tonight.
Around 8. Sound good?
no subject
[It'll be unlocked when mafia-Chuuya gets there, with poet-Chuuya sitting on his bed with his knees tucked to his chest.
It makes him look smaller than he already is.]
no subject
He sits down on the bed beside poet-Chuuya and wraps his arms around him.]
I love you.
no subject
I love you too. So much.
[He hates this. He wishes desperately that Mori had never crossed any of the authors' path - if only that hadn't happened, everything would be fine.
But he knows better than to think there's any way out of this situation now.]
no subject
How should we do it? I could use Corruption if worse comes to worse.
no subject
[Not being in control of himself. And with Dazai gone there isn't any safe method to bring him out of that state... Chuuya isn't going to ask him to do that to himself.]
no subject
[A long, drawn out sigh as Chuuya slides his fingers through poet-Chuuya’s hair.]
What else could we do? There’s gotta be some way to team up and take him down.
no subject
You know his abilities better than I do.
no subject
[A pause.]
I could try to distract him then you shoot him from afar.
no subject
[Mori trusts the other Chuuya as much as he'd trust anybody. Which isn't very much... but mafia-Chuuya can be distracting when he wants to be.
Poet-Chuuya very much wants to be distracted right now.]
...Hey. Can you stay the night?
no subject
[Chuuya wouldn’t dream of bailing right now. This could very well be their last night together, and like hell he’s going to waste it not holding his boyfriend in his arms. He curls up beside poet-Chuuya and pulls him close before pressing a kiss to his forehead.]
I’m not going anywhere.
no subject
Chuuya holds his boyfriend tight, and leans up to kiss his lips.]
