[Dazai doesn't pull away either, letting it be a soft, gentle thing, not aggressively advanced, just calmly accepted and graciously returned. Something dear and loving, where Dazai knows he's wanted. They can be like this now! It's awesome! And he couldn't be happier.]

[If Dazai's happy, he's happy - if he's happy kissing him, that's even better. Dazai's wanted and loved, and he doesn't have to be aggressive to show it, this is more than good enough for that.

[He's warm and happy and this is a good, good life in Odasaku's arms. I mean, Akuta-who? Sounds like a loser compared to the guy he's holding and kissing while his heart leaps up into his throat and threatens to burst. Dazai likes Odasaku more than anything, and yes. Yes, he loves him.]

[He didn't really ask if they were dating now, he just kind of assumed.]

I never really... [Wanted to admit to liking guys at all, let alone loving his best friend, so that's a little awkward in his head, still. However...] ...You know what? It's fine, right? It's fine. I'll say yes to it.

[This sure went from "life sucks and I miss being dead a little bit" to boyfriend territory pretty quick, but Dazai is the kind of guy to change quickly anyway, so... Yeah. A big smile, maybe a little shy at first, then he buries his face against Odasaku's neck. His voice is muffled, but he sounds happy enough.]

You can be my boyfriend.

[His fingers slide to clutch at the bottom hem of Odasaku's jacket. He's wanted, after all.]

[Dazai's smile is beautiful. Oda would do anything for that smile.

He wraps his arms tightly around Dazai, grinning just as wide.]

[Part of him wonders if Odasaku will want this tomorrow, still, or the day after... Really, how long would he put up with Dazai's antics? It's something Dazai questions immediately, but the thought of having something now that he honestly wanted so badly in life puts the thoughts on a much quieter level than they would be otherwise.]

Hey Odasaku? Can you tell me something? When did you decide you wanted to be my boyfriend, anyway?

Prob'ly round the same time you were fallin' for me in that bar.

[He'd already been in love with Dazai before that, but that was when he decided that he wanted to date him. Even if it would have been impossible at that time.]
