This is a post for me voicetesting Gin. Hit me up with thread starters for Gin (Port Mafia coworkers? Ran into her in casualwear? Enemy organization where she can't just attack you immediately? Generic jamjar? You're dating Akutagawa Ryuunosuke and have to meet the family??) or give me a character and I'll come up with a thread starter.

Cross-canon is fine as well as canonmates!

You're someone who regularly puts their life on the line. You can take more than babysips, you know... -Baiken grumbled, pulling back another gulp for herself, the result at least partially the same as before.- Damnit... the lip of the cask got warped... At least no air got in there...

[ogin]

That's different. ...I don't want to make a fool of myself.

[But okay, she'll take a larger drink now, if only to avoid disappointing Baiken.

Still not looking at her, though.]

[garyoutensei]

It's just the two of us, and I'm not here to judge. Just don't spit it back up and I won't be offended. -She set the cask aside, grabbing a cup for herself. Normally she wouldn't care about the lip of the cask being warped, but she didn't really want to waste any, either... But in doing so, she noticed Gin's aversion to looking at her...-

[Gin almost shakes her head, then thinks better of outright lying to Baiken and nods.]

...Nothing important.

[garyoutensei]

If I'm going to be your shadow for the next however long, you might as well say it.

[ogin]

[Baiken makes a good point. Gin has a tint of pink on her cheeks as she admits...]

You're very attractive.

[garyoutensei]

-... She had a feeling it'd be something like that.-

You got a thing for amputees or something?

[ogin]

Just beautiful women.

[There are plenty of scarred and permanently injured people in the mafia. If that distracted her, she'd never get anything done.]

[garyoutensei]

-Well. There went her attempt at deescalating the situation. She had to give Gin credit, she wasn't easily bothered by remarks like that. And...-

Anyone else know about it? -May as well take it seriously. Even if she wasn't sure what to do with Gin's observations, that didn't mean she should leave the girl hanging.-

[ogin]

[If you take offense to black humor, you won't survive the mafia.]

My brother... knew. He may have forgotten it as a trivial detail by now.

[Personal relationships are unimportant when you're Akutagawa Ryuunosuke.]

... Do you have a girlfriend? -She'd be surprised if the answer was yes. In their line of work, that kind of thing was... difficult to maintain. At best. If one was even interested.-

[ogin]

[Gin silently shakes her head. She barely even has friends, why would she have a girlfriend?]

[garyoutensei]

-She figured. But, that didn't necessarily rule out...-

Do you have any experience? -The details were left implied.-

[ogin]

...Not much.

[She has been kissed before. Living as an adolescent on the streets, you take comfort where you can, and try not to think about if the person you're kissing will be alive the next week.]

[garyoutensei]

No offense... But I'm surprised it's any. -A small shrug, another pull from the cask, gulping down.-

I'm assuming it wasn't with a woman my age...

[ogin]

Other teenagers on the streets. ...It was only a few kisses.

[That's what she means by 'experience'.]

[garyoutensei]

... I know this stuff can be complicated. You're almost lucky to be in a position where that kind of thing doesn't matter to much. Society can be pretty cruel...

[ogin]

Most people would have better things to judge me for.

[She's in the mafia and kills people for a living?]

...I don't know if that's lucky.

[garyoutensei]

Wouldn't you prefer to be judged for what you've done, rather than who you love?

[ogin]

...If those are the only options, then yes.

[Even if this was the way she survived, and her circumstances are as much out of her control as who she loves-

This is better.]

[garyoutensei]

Well it sucks, because this world's gonna do a whole lot of both. -Very positive, bacon, thanks.-

[ogin]

[Gin doesn't laugh, but she does puff out something that might have been the start of a chuckle, and then smile.]

I know.

[garyoutensei]

-Her smile was... cute. Subdued, subtle, almost unspoken in its own way. Even if her sardonic response had gotten a mostly positive reaction, she still managed to feel a bit guilty for saying something so dismissively cruel to someone capable of at least that much of a smile.-

... You should have more sake. -That's what she was doing at any rate, taking another gulp from the cask, the same thing happening as before, with a small trail running over her jaw.-

[ogin]

[This time Gin doesn't have to avert her eyes when Baiken drinks, though there's still a hint of pink in her cheeks... or that could be the alcohol starting to get to her as she takes a larger drink from her cup of sake.

Once she's used to it, it's not bad at all. She's starting to like the taste, even.]

[garyoutensei]

... I'm sorry if that was an awkward conversation. I'm not used to being called 'beautiful'... not by someone like you. -Another sip.-
