His book's infected with Taints. The other writers and I could clear it out the normal way, BUT thanks to his ability, you could join in and rub it in his face later that he owes the safety of his work to you.

[When mafia-Chuuya arrives, poet-Chuuya is talking to Poe. Poe flinches the second he sees mafia-Chuuya arrive, while poet-Chuuya just gives mafia-Chuuya a grin.

He gets led to a room in the back, where a bookish-looking woman explains the plan. Three of the authors - Chuuya, a cringing Dazai, and a Niimi who'd perked up when he saw the Chuuyas walk in - will go in first. Then Poe will use his ability to send mafia-Chuuya to join them. The spirits can return at will, and when they do Poe will cancel his ability and allow Chuuya to return.]

Sounds like a plan to me.

[Chuuya arrives in a timely manner, dressed in his usual outfit, and is amused to see that scaredy cat version of Dazai cowering in the corner, along with a cowering Poe. It’s hilarious how scared these guys are of two tiny Chuuyas.

With good reason.]

Sure thing. How does this work?

We fight the stuff that looks like monsters until it goes away! And then the book is safe again.

[Niimi's 100% fine with having two tiny Chuuyas.]

Meanwhile he keeps glancing over at Shuji on purpose with a wicked smirk. Just to mess with him.]

[It's not a secret or anything, he just thinks Chuuya might be surprised when he pulls out a big gun.

Meanwhile, Shuji is shrinking into a bookcase. He's in a room with two Chuuyas, he's going to die again. RIP.]

Before they delve into the book, Chuuya struts right up to Shuji and pokes him in the chest.]

What was your name again? Peach blossom bastard?

[He knows. He’s just being an ass.]

[God, he's terrified.

The alchemist rolls her eyes, and after confirming that the spirits are ready, shuts her eyes in focus with Poe's book in her hand. The book glows red, and the three authors disappear in a flash of light.

That done, the alchemist hands Chuuya Poe's book. If he opens it up he'll immediately see the problem- Large sections of the book are blacked out and illegible, words and empty space alike covered in black ink. It's like this through the whole book.

There is still enough legible to read a sentence or two at a time, though.]

[Good.

Poe’s book is certainly in rough shape, and Chuuya can see why they need to go in and fix whatever is happening here. He still can’t wrap his head around it, but he hardly has time to think it over before he’s being teleported inside of the book.

This...this is so strange...

He glances around, looking for the others.]

So I’m inside a book. What now?

[The setting of this book is a classic spooky camp in the woods. It's daytime now, all the better to see the random giant letters floating in the sky.

That probably wasn't in the text.]

The letters are the damaged parts of the text. You go towards those and kill any Taints you run into on the way.

[Chuuya's here, as well as Dazai and Niimi. They've already got their weapons out, so it's mafia-Chuuya's first opportunity to see Dazai's scythe and Niimi's rifle.]

[It’s bizarre, but Chuuya isn’t complaining. That just means more excitement for him!

He’s totally impressed that Shuji has such a cool looking weapon with how much of a scaredy cat he is, and Niimi using a gun is highly entertaining. Chuuya himself has his fists and whatever projectiles he can find at his disposal, so he’s ready to go.]

Show me how it’s done, Chuuya~

[He wants to see his boyfriend in action.]

[You better believe Chuuya's going to show off.

It doesn't take long to run into some Taints, and it's obvious to tell they're not normal - there's two of these sheep-looking creatures and one red guy on fire.

The sheep are slower than the asshole on fire, who shoots a concentrated ray of energy towards Shuji. Shuji, to his credit, takes it very well, only grunting in pain when he blocks the brunt of it with his scythe.

Poet-Chuuya and Niimi, meanwhile, both take shots at the one of sheep. It staggers, but the other one tries to ram into mafia-Chuuya.]

[This is like something right out of a video game. Chuuya watches the others work, grinning when he sees his boyfriend do his thing, but then one of the sheep charges towards Chuuya, and it’s his turn to jump into action. He puts all his strength behind his fist and...punches right through the sheep. He hopes it’s made of ink.]

One down. This is pretty fun.

[He grins over at Shuji.]

Step it up, peach blossom bastard.

[It's pretty solid when he punches into it, but when it dies it melts into ink.]

That isn't my name!

[Scowling, Shuji slices deeply into the guy-on-fire Taint with his scythe. It looks like it did pretty decent damage, but didn't one-shot it.]

[Chuuya dives in and kicks the injured Taint as hard as he can, effectively turning it into a mess of ink.]

Looks like I had to finish your job for you.

[He chuckles, waving over at poet-Chuuya.]

How am I doing so far?

Not bad-!

[Sorry, Chuuya, poet-Chuuya over here is busy taking another shot at the last sheep. Between his and Niimi's shots, it goes down.]

Not bad at all for your first time.

[Shuji's going to sulk in silence.]

How many do we have to fight to clear the book? Is there a boss?

Depends how corrupted the book is, but if we find the main path to the 'boss' I'd say probably at least twelve more. There's usually a leader Taint riling the other ones up, it's just a pain to find them.

[It's gotten foggy all of a sudden...]

[It sure has gotten foggy, and Chuuya immediately goes on the defensive, preparing himself for an ambush. He has no idea how many forms these Taints can take, but he’s determined to punch them all into oblivion to protect the others. Yes, even Shuji.]

Do you see any more of them?

They could show up any second - oh, not those guys.

[Two more Taints have appeared, but Chuuya's reaction is one of annoyance rather than fear.

Fuck these guys. It's hard to damage them at all unless you get a lucky shot and they're just a pain in the ass.

That's made quickly apparent - Niimi and Chuuya both get a shot in, one on each of the Taints, but they don't even flinch.]

Looks like they’re pretty tough.

[Chuuya will settle for trying to punch the fuck out of all of them. Look at him go.

It’s probably not going to work.]

[Barely a dent. On the other hand, it does mean that all of them will be trying to slice into Chuuya.]

Chuuya is forced to try and fight them all off at once, but...it’s not working. Clearly.]
