Generic Murdergame Mingle

Basically this is for the PSL That Never Was, where a bunch of characters got thrown into a Generic Murdergame but we only felt like doing some random threads and not committing to a whole murdergame.

Post with the character you're putting into the hypothetical Generic Murdergame. Include as much or as little detail about them as you want - title, profile, typical habits, whether they were spared by the RNG or not, etc.

Then tag other people with whatever threads you feel like doing.

[Supergirl has been diligently putting in coins, but she never seems to get anything good. Today, she's got a pile of then, which all go in and produce... five Overlord T-Backs and a nolo pen. She visibly recoils.]

Okay, um? Ewww.

[Joel smiles slightly and shakes his head as he looks up from a small machine he was tinkering with. Poor girl honestly.]

I'm starting to think this machine might be sentient on some level. I can't imagine your luck can be that bad to get five pairs of the same underwear.
maidofmistakes: Hugging herself sadly. (We are all done wearing pants today)

At least it wasn't that expensive coffee made from animal droppings again. Everyone else is getting their own stuff out of this thing, and I can't find anything. Did you try it lately?

You know that kind of coffee is a very rare delicacy. If we get out of here alive you can sell it for a lot of money.

Yeah, I actually got something from home, so to speak. [Holds up a VHS tape.] This is actually the second movie I've gotten from the machine. I really hope not all of the items I'm getting from home are just bad movies.

[Joel frowns, looking genuinely disappointed at that possibility.]
maidofmistakes: Apologizing. (So I literally just wrote "sorry")

[personal profile] maidofmistakes 2016-08-29 02:32 am (UTC)(link)
How bad is it? [She tilts her head at the tape.] I've never seen a movie like that before. I thought Earth put them on discs.

I was told about the discs too actually. I'm guessing either they replace VHS tapes with discs in my future or some weird disturbance in the dimensions caused some universes to use VHS tapes for their movies and others have discs.

[Slides the VHS out of its case and examines it idly.]

The movie is Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. It's pretty bad but I admit it was pretty charming in its own weird way. The last one I got I wouldn't even show my worst enemy, so I guess you could say this is an improvement. Maybe if we get a media room soon I can show it to you guys.

[Joel no.]
maidofmistakes: Tense look. (That's when I knew)

[personal profile] maidofmistakes 2016-08-29 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
Didn't you just say it was bad? And what's wrong with Martians? That seems kinda, I dunno, offensive?
iblewit: (He worked at Gizmonic Institute)

[personal profile] iblewit 2016-08-29 04:36 am (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah, it's bad, but when you've seen as many bad movies as I have, you tend to be less picky about bad movies. And this movie was made before aliens were discovered and, for a movie of its time, is at least more respectable with how Martians behave.

Even if the Martians were just green radio wearing humans.
maidofmistakes: Nervous laugh and explanation. (September 16th captain's log)

Oh, right, you... used to be trapped with a bunch of terrible movies, right? What was all that about?
