Generic Murdergame Mingle

Basically this is for the PSL That Never Was, where a bunch of characters got thrown into a Generic Murdergame but we only felt like doing some random threads and not committing to a whole murdergame.

Post with the character you're putting into the hypothetical Generic Murdergame. Include as much or as little detail about them as you want - title, profile, typical habits, whether they were spared by the RNG or not, etc.

Then tag other people with whatever threads you feel like doing.

Nagi "Alice" Arisuin | Chivalry of a Failed Knight

[personal profile] darknesshermit 2016-08-24 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
Profile. The type of person who's friendly with everybody else, but only talks about herself when prompted and rarely gives any significant details. The big sister of everyone her age or younger. Probably hit on every attractive male at least once.

Like a different person during trials - while she's cheerful and friendly outside the courtroom, she's cold and presses every piece of evidence without regard to whether she was getting along with that person the day before or not. Always able to help with the afterparty - none of her 'close CR' dying seriously affects her, victim or culprit, and she's more focused on taking care of the people hurt.

Made it to survivor pool and gradually got to actually like people here in the process, which almost certainly caused a breakdown at one point.

Kara Zor-El/Supergirl | DC Super Hero Girls

[personal profile] maidofmistakes 2016-08-24 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
Profile. The requisite cinnaroll. Clumsy and lacking in self-esteem, she tries her best but always seems to screw up. While she always goes by her "super" name, she started out very unsure of herself and confided to her close CR that she feels more like a danger to everyone around her than a hero. She also really misses home, which... uh, isn't around anymore.

As she started to regain memories, though, Supergirl became more confident and able to help during trials and helped hold the group together. She dies late in the game, sacrificing herself to save the culprit's intended target.

[The library includes plenty of cookbooks, and while Alice is more of a 'frequent various sweets shops to find the best cake in town' person rather than 'bake a cake' person, she's going to change that today. Necessity is the mother of opening up the oven.]

Let's see, do we have any vanilla extract...? I'm not sure what you would substitute if we don't...

[She's talking to herself when Supergirl walks in, but it's pretty obvious she's baking something by the ingredients she already has out.]
maidofmistakes: Determined. (Ultimate beer pong)

[personal profile] maidofmistakes 2016-08-24 02:30 am (UTC)(link)
Oh! Hey, Alice. [Supergirl rubs her arm nervously.] Making something? Is there a party?

darknesshermit: (APOLOGETIC /)

[personal profile] darknesshermit 2016-08-24 02:32 am (UTC)(link)
No, I just thought I'd learn to bake a cake for myself. Maybe I'll make one for our next party, if this one turns out as anything but a mess.

[She's not particularly confident here.]
maidofmistakes: Happy and sure. (I just ran into the woods like an)

[personal profile] maidofmistakes 2016-08-24 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
Wow, really? That's great! They bake a lot of different pastries in the cafeteria at Super Hero High, but my favourite is the superfood cake. I know it's made out of all these weird Earth health foods, but to be honest, I'm way more used to that than what you guys consider normal food.

[Because there has to be SOME reason they willingly eat cauliflower-and-quinoa baked goods.]
darknesshermit: (UNDERSTANDING /)

[personal profile] darknesshermit 2016-08-24 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
Japanese food is fairly healthy to begin with, but I know there's plenty of people who wouldn't willingly eat miso soup or seaweed. ...I think the American health food craze is a little overdone, though.

[Quinoa.]
maidofmistakes: Determined. (Ultimate beer pong)

[personal profile] maidofmistakes 2016-08-24 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
I tried asking Star Sapphire why they always like either really healthy food or really unhealthy food, but she laughed and told me to get a clue.

[personal profile] darknesshermit 2016-08-24 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
How cruel... You shouldn't say that to anyone, let alone an immigrant.

[That is what Supergirl is, right?]
maidofmistakes: Tense look. (That's when I knew)

[personal profile] maidofmistakes 2016-08-24 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
Every planet has girls like that. [She sighs and scuffs the floor.] Uh, can I help? I mean, I know I'm probably not the greatest, but at least I can't accidentally use heat vision on anything in here.
darknesshermit: (CHEERING /)

[personal profile] darknesshermit 2016-08-24 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
I don't mind at all. Can you grease and flour that pan?
maidofmistakes: Unsure but happy look. (I really want to know why)

[personal profile] maidofmistakes 2016-08-24 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
Sure! I've seen Aunt Martha do it tons of times, it can't be that hard.

[Cutting and folding parchment paper, going for the shortening... maybe that's too much shortening everywhere... eh, she'll figure it out.]

Hibiki Kuze | Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker

[personal profile] shinetagonist 2016-08-24 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
A well liked guy, Hibiki liked to break up tense moments with the occasional joke or uplifting comment. While no leader he always did his part in the trials and fought to keep everyone together. A bit to mischievous to be a cinnamon roll, but he still never faltered on his morals.

Was the victim of the final trial. The incentive was a last ditch desperation move- kill one or you all die. Hibiki took the choice out of the hands of the others... but the Mastermind altered the scene to make it almost unwinnable. Almost.

Was revived with everyone else, but slipped away while no one else was looking and was never seen again after. No one even knows if he made it home... and the more time passes the more they forget about him existing at all.

Title was: Shining
darknesshermit: (CHIPPER /)

[personal profile] darknesshermit 2016-08-24 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
[That's a lot of shortening indeed.]

Need any help?
maidofmistakes: Depressed. (Friday night watching House.)

[personal profile] maidofmistakes 2016-08-24 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
Is it supposed to have this much?
darknesshermit: (SWEATDROP / uh well)

[personal profile] darknesshermit 2016-08-24 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know, but probably not?
maidofmistakes: Conspiratorial. (Let's pretend this is a good idea)

[personal profile] maidofmistakes 2016-08-24 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
Sorry! [She tries wiping a bunch off.] I just really didn't want your cake to get stuck to the pan.
darknesshermit: (GIGGLING /)

[personal profile] darknesshermit 2016-08-24 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
Impressive as usual, Hibiki~

[She's talking about his score on whatever game he's playing in the arcade - though truthfully it's not like he's got a lot of competition. I mean who else here is going to get high scores on video games? Sorcerer dad?]
darknesshermit: (CALM / it's just a movie)

[personal profile] darknesshermit 2016-08-24 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
It's probably fine now.

[Or else it's not, she has no idea. She's been mixing together a bunch of stuff for the batter. What's the right consistency...?]
maidofmistakes: Tense look. (That's when I knew)

[personal profile] maidofmistakes 2016-08-24 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
[Welcome to deadland, Hibiki. Supergirl's coming out of her room when she freezes and stammers at the sight of him.]

Th-- you-- someone's died again? I thought we'd be the last ones!
maidofmistakes: Hugging herself sadly. (We are all done wearing pants today)

[personal profile] maidofmistakes 2016-08-24 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
[Flour now, flour flour flour. ...big cloud of flour as she's dusting the pan, but details.]

What kind of cake is this?
darknesshermit: (Default)

[personal profile] darknesshermit 2016-08-24 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
[Oh goodness, Supergirl.]

Chocolate. I thought it'd be better if I started out with the classics.
maidofmistakes: Drawing a horse. (My prof gave me extra credit for)

[personal profile] maidofmistakes 2016-08-24 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
That's great! I bet everyone's going to love it. We definitely need some good things in here, after last week.

[He gives Alice a coy look]

What can I say? I'm good with my hands.

Pierce | OC

[personal profile] sorcererdad 2016-08-24 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
Profile here. The resident dad archetype that is commonly found in murdergames, here to make people half his age breakfast, listen to their problems, and be a hilarious addition (or straight man) to any shenanigans that occurred. Talked a little bit about himself, but was more enthusiastic just talking about his home world, especially where magic was concerned. Was fairly mellow and approachable to most other captives, but still fairly serious given, well, the murder thing. Often found scrutinizing items found in the vending machine, experimenting in the kitchen, or holed up in the library (sometimes for hours), although if the bunker had craft or greenhouse areas, he might occasionally be found in those too. Notably not found in pools, gymnasiums, or anywhere else dedicated to exercise. He's a squishy, squishy man.

Tended to get very sassy during trials, silently judging anyone who chose to Hagakure and being pretty damn irritable with anyone who chose to MTB. Statistically speaking, he was probably the most Done person during those things.

And then he died horribly when some asshole decided to lace a good deal of the food supply with peanut oil, which had the benefit of not really affecting anyone else but triggering his deadly peanut allergy. Seriously, what the fuck?

In the information files found during the final investigation, it was revealed to the survivor pool that he was married to an interdimensional abomination capable of eating entire galaxies. Not that he was actively trying to hide that information, but no one really asked and everyone just sort of assumed she was a very eccentric witch or some lesser non-human being or something. Went back home after the ending, although his doors were open to a good deal of other fellow murdergame graduates. Might have also offered to teach some of the kids magic.
