[So you're the hero meant to save the world! Or something like that. And you have this magical sword that's meant for the chosen hero, and it comes with its very own spirit to help guide you through your journey.

Unfortunately, since it's the special sword you need, you can't just ditch it when it turns out that the spirit is a snarky asshole who doesn't seem to respect you at all.]

Not a day goes by when I don't wonder if there was a mix-up and I was meant to be wielded by someone more competent.

[Scenario 2]
[You've been on this quest for a while, and you've gotten better at things like combat and not needing Ghirahim's help for every stupid puzzle. In fact, he might even respect you now, or at least a lot more than he did when you first started out.

That said, he's still Ghirahim. And when random people you need to help with your sidequests insult you...]

He could still perform his role for you with one of his arms ripped off, master.

[ ... He doesn't usually use weapons but finding one buried in a crumbling, decaying world is kinda weird... Amala Network, why do you do this to him? Still, he IS sort of a hero! So it's not surprising. Even if being said hero means obliterating God and, like, putting his world back to how he thinks it should be.

Still--being without many of his friends, Naoki can't help but consider the possibility, and, well, here he is. So the sword was actually also a person (demon? He's not sure if it's a demon or not), which is cool. He's used to demons being both murderous and a little nuts and also cool.

The teenager with glowing tattoos can't help but kind of wonder, though... what now? Hm. ]

... Ah...

[ Okay, okay. He knows he shouldn't have picked up the pretty, shiny sword, but it seemed so LONELY... also, anything to help him murder Kagutsuchi would be. Nice. ]

[It had been a very rocky start, with how they tended to clash thanks to Zoe's prideful nature causing her to snark at Ghirahim more often than not. But things eventually smoothed out between them. Kinda. Sort of. Zoe being Zoe, she still had to be an ass sometimes.

But there were times that they agreed on things, such as right now as she rests her hand on the hilt of the sword, her already short patience wearing thin.]

Do not tempt me. I would rather not have the higher-ups breathe down my damn neck than they already are. [The higher-ups being the angels higher up in the hierarchy. Zoe was already in trouble for getting a demon sword, though she didn't seem at all bothered. She rubs the bridge of her nose, grumbling to herself.] ... Do we really need this talisman? Can I just blast down the damn door to get into that temple?
