AU! Roleswap Ghirahim. Skyward Sword spoilers and stuff.
[Scenario 1]
[So you're the hero meant to save the world! Or something like that. And you have this magical sword that's meant for the chosen hero, and it comes with its very own spirit to help guide you through your journey.
Unfortunately, since it's the special sword you need, you can't just ditch it when it turns out that the spirit is a snarky asshole who doesn't seem to respect you at all.]
Not a day goes by when I don't wonder if there was a mix-up and I was meant to be wielded by someone more competent.
[At least he's not outright disloyal? Probably?]
[Scenario 2]
[You've been on this quest for a while, and you've gotten better at things like combat and not needing Ghirahim's help for every stupid puzzle. In fact, he might even respect you now, or at least a lot more than he did when you first started out.
That said, he's still Ghirahim. And when random people you need to help with your sidequests insult you...]
He could still perform his role for you with one of his arms ripped off, master.
[...he doesn't take that very well.]

... That won't be a problem. Just... don't get very close, with this.
[ He'll hold a hand over the Amala Drum nearby--where did it come from? Hard to say. But warping is easier like this, he thinks. It'll spin and make noise and then flash brilliant red, and here they are, the Amala Labyrinth. Let's see... which Kalpa? As long as he avoided the room Dante was hanging in; he didn't feel like dealing with him just yet, having asked him to stay put there while he went to get some help, and the enemies were strong enough just nearby there, so he'll settle for that one.
It... doesn't seem like it takes long for him to gain notice--demons seem to always be after his skin. Maybe because he's so very SPECIAL. They weren't weak, by any means; surely Ghirahim could sense as much. But... he won't ask for his help here. Because up until now, he's been managing okay. No, the little ones were easy. Besides, he knew they'd just return here eventually (did demons even really DIE? Didn't they just disperse, here, and reform?), and none of the ones here had any interest in joining him, so no loss. He decides not to summon any of his friends for this fight. He can manage, he thinks. He already has the Magatama he's most concerned with equipped; protected from Death, by Satan, even if it was an annoying little symbiotic thing, cheeky. Of course, when you're using brain parasites for your power, you tend to be the only one hearing them. Or sensing them. Or knowing how to remove them.
He's used to that. And the demons here DID love their Death-based skills...
Regardless, it's not hard to get right into it. Demons. Surrounding him. He does seem more serious, a little more tense, but also a little more feral--it's because he's part demon now, and it'd be a lie to say SOME part of him DIDN'T like this... he'll Focus in on his targets, taking that energy--his eyes must be glowing like crazy, as everything darkens and giant cracks open up into the ground spewing demonic energy from his attack.
Well, you know--if you want impressive, there is that. And then he'll heal himself, carefully... one left. A physical resistant one. Well, he has an answer for that, too.
It's called Freikugel, and it's nothing, if he doesn't just Focus in, he can't murder things with.
I mean, how many heroes have YOU met with eye lazers that, when charging, will darken everything almost impressively so, the only thing left those glowing tattoos, until they're blasted by pure demonic energy into nothing but their base form again? Not many, probably. Although whatever is left he has no trouble handling with his fists and Magma Axis, and he does get some scrapes or two (happens when you don't wear a shirt, but becoming a demon has toughened his skin considerably), and he might be bleeding a bit, but it doesn't seem to be much of an issue.
But he also knows his powers are hardly exclusive--and they do get tiring, eventually. Still... he can only hope what's transpired is deemed "impressive" enough; Satan seems content to feed off the Magatsuhi leftover once Naoki takes it, anyway. ]

If you sought to impress me, child...

[Raw power =/= sword skill, but it helps.]
