AU! Roleswap Ghirahim. Skyward Sword spoilers and stuff.
[Scenario 1]
[So you're the hero meant to save the world! Or something like that. And you have this magical sword that's meant for the chosen hero, and it comes with its very own spirit to help guide you through your journey.
Unfortunately, since it's the special sword you need, you can't just ditch it when it turns out that the spirit is a snarky asshole who doesn't seem to respect you at all.]
Not a day goes by when I don't wonder if there was a mix-up and I was meant to be wielded by someone more competent.
[At least he's not outright disloyal? Probably?]
[Scenario 2]
[You've been on this quest for a while, and you've gotten better at things like combat and not needing Ghirahim's help for every stupid puzzle. In fact, he might even respect you now, or at least a lot more than he did when you first started out.
That said, he's still Ghirahim. And when random people you need to help with your sidequests insult you...]
He could still perform his role for you with one of his arms ripped off, master.
[...he doesn't take that very well.]

Which seems to work, and Zoe grins as he finally goes to open up the mine so that they can get this talisman, now starting to walk into it as her lance vanishes.] So, next task is to fight whatever great beast is guarding the talisman. Because there is always one.
no subject
That should be simple enough for you. Still, I'm looking forward to it after this little display.
[He really wanted to actually hurt that guy.]

Hopefully it will not go down too quickly. A bit of stress relief sounds good... Since you do seem particularly irritated.
[It's a casual observation, and she soon frowns as the heat in the mine suddenly spikes up, tugging at the collar of her shirt with a frown.]
no subject
[That he had found unbearingly irritating.]
Oh, and I predict we'll find a useful item in the mine that we'll need to advance further, and then to defeat the final enemy. I'd give it 70-30 odds, wouldn't you say?
no subject
Heh, sounds about right. And the item will more than likely be something we have to solve some inane puzzle to get.
[And yeup, Ghirahim was right, since they end up being blocked by a waterfall of lava, and Zoe squints her eyes, spotting the talisman embedded in the wall behind said lavafall.] Well, at least we found the talisman. Now just to go item hunting.
[Of course there are monsters around here too, and Zoe just glances as a small imp tries to get the jump on her before she kicks it into the lavafall, casually watching the monster burn away before she turns to go exploring and moving to loosen her shirt collar.] And at least the lava allows for easy disposal of the more annoying monsters.

[This is definitely what Ghirahim spends his time thinking about.]
no subject
Yes, I can confirm that they do.
no subject
[You indulge him way too much.]
