I do believe I'm in the mood for Tarot readings. Would anyone like one?

[A deck is on the table in front of her.]

[And on a short stint outside the walls and wastes of Adstringendum is Korra, but a bit leaner than normal due to the diet she and the rest of the city are on: hunt, find, or trade for what you can.

As she awkwardly shuffles the cards, she tilts her head to peek at the one at the bottom. She manages to contain her curiosity after that and continues shuffling. Eventually, Korra hands back the deck.]

So... I'm stuck in this partly-destroyed city with some of my friends, people from the past of my world, and a lot of others from other worlds. Sometimes they go home, and I know that's a good thing with all the weird things that go on, even though I do miss them. But what I want to know is, will the rest of us be alright? Will I be able to protect my friends if Amon returns or some new evil force is brought into the city?

[harpbeat]

[Eater nods and deals out seven cards, flipping them up one by one.]

Some of that sounds really accurate.... How did you do that? [Excuse her while she picks up one of the cards and stares at it. Almost as if she's trying to discern a hidden message that might be somewhere on the front.]

[harpbeat]

I did nothing but interpret the cards that came up.

How do you know all their different meanings?

[harpbeat]

I studied them for many years.

[korralate]

Huh, that's pretty neat. ...Can I ask one more question? [She puts the card in her hand back down on the table.]

[harpbeat]

Of course.

[korralate]

[She scoops up the cards and starts shuffling again.] Can the cards tell me anything about... love?

[harpbeat]

They commonly do. After all, love is very important to most people's lives.

[korralate]

Yeah. [She grins sheepishly and hands over the deck once she's happy with her shuffling.]

What do they say for me about love?

[harpbeat]

Since this is your second reading, I'll use three cards...

Two of Swords. Avoiding your emotions, a stalemate.

Six of Cups. Good will and innocence.

Four of Cups. Withdrawing into yourself.

Miss, you have the potential for love, as shown by the Six of Cups in the center. However, you must be honest and open for that to occur.

[As soon as "avoiding her emotions" was mentioned, she squirmed in her seat and averted her gaze to the other two cards. Accurate again....]
