I do believe I'm in the mood for Tarot readings. Would anyone like one?

[A deck is on the table in front of her.]

Saionji stares doubtfully at the deck of cards. "How could this possibly do anything?"

Yet he still sits across from her, putting his hand on the deck. "I have to shuffle it, then?" he says sourly.

"Yes, you do. Otherwise the cards will not recognize your thoughts," Eater explains.

He picks up the deck, shuffling it effortlessly with long fingers and slapping it down on the table. "There. Tell me whatever rubbish you want, now." he is looking intently at her, though.

[Seven cards.]

He merely stares at her for a moment, mouth open slightly. Then he darkens. "Y-you don't..." He bites it off. He forces a scoff. "If I'm not supposed to get involved, then what am I supposed to do??"

He flushes, putting his hand over his mouth to consider the aptness of the prediction, or at least the aptness of the parts he dislikes. "I'm not good... at tempering my emotions." he finally mutters.

"I can see that... I'm not certain of your path, but I do wish you good fortune, sir." She shakes her head. "Everyone is capable of controlling themselves to some degree, I do believe."

He is, to some degree. After all, he just stomps off instead of upending the table and tossing the cards all around and maybe slapping the woman who just used magic to tell him hard truths he doesn't even listen to from people he likes. He just stands up and whirls on his heel, stomping off. Then he turns back. "Thank you," he hisses grudgingly.

"You are most welcome," she answers with a smile, seemingly oblivious to how annoyed he is at her.
