School was okay. We learned about the Civil War in history class today.

...Mom, you and Dad aren't American, so am I American at all?

... Well, you were born in America, so I guess so... At least nationality-wise.

It would be a little strange to say 'I'm half-Asgardian and half-British'.

[technologic]

[April gives a giggle at that.] Yep, it would. So saying you're American might be simpler. Since from what I know, a lot of people think that Asgard doesn't even exist.

But Dad exists, so that's silly.

[technologic]

It is silly. But some people have trouble believing anything like Asgard or angels exist, and trying to argue with them is like arguing with a brick wall sometimes.

I guess it doesn't matter what they think.

[technologic]

[April gives a few nods.] Yep! You and I both know the truth, so it doesn't matter what anyone else says!

... But still, saying that your Dad is an angel from Asgard is something we should keep to ourselves.

Okay. Got it, Mom.

Good! [And cue a small hair ruffle.] ... Do y'know where Dad is right now?

He's at the store. He said not to tell.

[April blink and raises an eyebrow.] Huh... Wait, did he tell you what he was going to the store for?

[gaveupfeeling]

No, but I'm sure it's something for you.

[technologic]

... Well, I know I haven't really asked for anything, so I've got no clue... [April tilts her head with a frown.] ... He didn't give you any hints?

[gaveupfeeling]

Nope, not any.

[technologic]

Booo... Now this is gonna bug me until he gets back. [April flops onto the couch and rests her chin in her hands.] ... Maybe he's just buying food or something.

I don't think so. It's probably something nice.

[technologic]

... Maybe. But there's not really anything I can think of that he would get me. [She frowns some more, trying to see if she can think up something.]

[gaveupfeeling]

Flowers?

[technologic]

Possibly, since he does know that I like flowers... [She 'hrm's to herself, before huffing some hair away from her eyes.] Though we'll probably have to wait and see.

If he doesn't get you any, I'll get you some.

[technologic]

... Huh? Y-you don't have to get me any flowers, Angie. [Even after all this time, April still stutters.]

But they'd be nice.

[technologic]

Yeah, b-but you're meant to spend your money on yourself. And I can buy flowers for the house later.
