OC voicetesting.
[A: the internet]
[The internet is a wonderful thing. It lets Gershom interact with other people without having to be covered head to toe, always fearful that he might have to flee this town just like all the others before.
Like anyone who exists on the internet, especially anyone who exists on the internet 24/7, he has a Twitter.]
What is happening on Twitter? I've been reading the Mishnah all morning, can someone explain the drama to me?
[With appropriate cat gif.]
[B: the apartment... door]
[Whatever reason you have to be outside Gershom's apartment door - selling Girl Scout cookies? Canvassing? One of his neighbors was murdered and you're a police detective who wants details? - it's definitely locked.]
Who is it? Erm, I can't answer the door, I'm very sick.
[He doesn't sound sick, but then again, a door between you and him muffles things somewhat.]
[C: the apartment]
[As one of the few people Gershom knows who knows about the lich thing, you're allowed inside. Gershom is in his cat pajamas, wringing his skeletal hands together.]
I would've changed clothes but my nice outfit has a honey stain on it - um, can I get you something? Books? Some music to put on? ...Books?
[D: wildcard]
[I don't know what I'm doing, if you know what you're doing then fuck you.]

It very much was not my idea. Or something I was informed about prior.

[ She sits on her bed, her gaze never leaving his pitiful skeletal face. ]
Just. How.

There was a potion - I couldn't tell you what went into it. My ex-lover had it made for me. He was some sort of undead himself, and he wanted me to be with him forever.
He didn't tell me about any of this until after I had been turned into... whatever I am.
[Maybe lich isn't the word. It's not as if he would know.]

[ She winces. It wasn't much different, she supposes, from when the monster wearing Terowyn's face tried to turn her as well.
But oh, how she was free now. ]
Suffice to say, that's not how lichdom is supposed to work, and he's made a grave insult of our craft by doing so.

[Don't tell him how many souls he probably drank.]
Well, I don't know much about lichdom or any kind of magic, but I think it would be good to ask permission first.

It's always a choice.
A choice so heavy and terrible that the whole world tells you to turn back, but out of foolishness or desperation, you trudge on anyway.
[ So you can see why she's insulted that someone would just spring that on a person without their consent. ]
And so it's always a certain type of person who pursues lichdom, but...your former lover had bestowed upon you a terrible fate.
I do wish he'd left it for those of us who deserve it.

[He isn't willing to learn to cast spells to disguise himself and be able to go out in public ever again because he would consider it wrong. Anything involved in intentionally becoming a lich? Too horrifying for him to even think about.]

[She feels...a strange sort of awkward guilt? Like wow, she's sorry dude.]

...I haven't really had the chance to speak to another lich about it. Our relationship did not last long, after that.
[You Think.]

[She's got her own demons, but she doesn't believe she's ever met another lich in her own world.]
I suppose whoever placed us together in this room had an interesting sense of humor.

[He's been run out of enough towns to know.]
no subject
Most wouldn't.
[A smirk.]
Vanthians, however, are another breed entirely.

[Whenever he's ready for that, at least.]
