Open voicetest!
[You are in a strange world, having suddenly been taken from your own... but you've been here for like a month or two, so you've had time to get adjusted, whether you're in horrorland or idyllic 50's town. Even better, you have a sweet ride of some sort!
It is on a fairly regular journey that you realize that your sweet ride is going slower than it should. The first chance you get to stop, a shabby-looking girl who was apparently clinging to the bottom of your vehicle crawls out from underneath.]
Hello! [At least she's friendly?] I don't think we've met? We've spent a little while together, just now, but you didn't know, so that doesn't count I think.

I'm Mae! They called me Mae the Moon-Touched, except, I didn't like that really? I like Lobco. It's a good name.
Home... Um, my home is everywhere the Scribes watch over. So, so I'm home right now!

Just Mae then--a very pretty name.
[The next bit was a little disconcerting. She wondered about the girl's parents...but that. That might bring up an upsetting conversation.
Lobco takes a seat across from Mae, pensive.]
Mae, do you know your way around this place very well, then?
no subject
I do! I have been all around the Downside. Or, actually, only on top of it mostly? I know all the places a wagon can go.

[A second opinion has been given.]
It'll take... um, I think it might take another day? But we can learn more about each other on the way there!
[frand!!]

That we can. You must be very strong to survive here by yourself. I've been having quite a bit of trouble...I owe the imps a lot.
no subject
[Mae says it with the sort of certainty rarely found in people who haven't met their gods or seen proof of their existence.]
The imps like you. Have they told you? Some people say they're hard to understand, but I don't know why?
no subject
The imps are sweet. She likes them a lot too, but to have someone say they return that affection is surprising.]
...I like them too.
[Lobco can get a sense for what the imps mean, but nothing specific. She's an animal like them but they seemed different from her, and those back home.]
I have a tiny bit of trouble, sometimes, but I think I'm getting there. In understanding them, I mean.
[She reached behind her toward a jug of water, and offered it to Mae.] Are you thirsty?
no subject
[Mae takes a drink from the jug, and then sighs happily. In this heat, a drink of water is-]
Water blessed by the Scribes themselves. Ha'ub the Swallow, he smiles on your hospitality.
