[Dazai's favorite coffee shop was a small one, privately-owned instead of a hell chain like Starbucks. The coffee is a little more expensive, but also it doesn't taste like crap. Dazai orders the same thing every time, puts the same amount of milk and sugar in, and is never disappointed.

There's one other reason he comes here regularly-]

[-which is that he knows the cute guy in the leather jacket comes here at this time at least a couple times a week, and they've been flirting for ages now. Dazai doesn't even ask before he sits down at the same table as him.]

Passed over for a promotion for a senior member whose work is worse. Of course I understand that the company rewards those who've stayed there longer, but seeing someone whose work is only so-so get a raise when you don't...

I've thought about it more than once. But financial stability has its perks.

[He's spent too long unemployed, even if that was a while ago. The idea of leaving his job and not making it is terrifying. Not to mention that his family would kill him.

Or worse, be disappointed in him.]
