It takes him a bit to get redressed and put his hat back on (obviously the most important part), but eventually he's presentable enough to unlock the door.]

[Chuuya doesn’t need to be told twice, and finally he pushes himself up out of the chair and uses the table to steady himself until his head stops swimming. God, he really is totally shitfaced now, isn’t he...]

[He stumbles out the door, hoping that he doesn’t run into any employees or wandering citizens on the way to other-Chuuya’s room. This is totally against how he normally ends a night, but he feels like he can trust this guy enough to take an extended nap without getting murdered. Call him naive, but that’s how he sees it right now.]

["Businessman" Chuuya's right today - this Chuuya has no reason to murder him in his sleep, and would be offended if you even suggested it.

The door they come to has an 'employees only' sign on it, which Chuuya pays no attention to whatsoever when he opens it. Beyond that, there's a line of doors that look like dorm rooms, numbers and all.]

Mine's number four... Or, wait, wasn't it number five?

[He catches sight of someone else milling about in the hallway, and raises his voice.]

Oi, peach blossom bastard.

[Dazai yelps when Chuuya addresses him, before trying to put on a calm front and mostly failing.]

It's number four. [This is a conversation they've had a lot, but Dazai never gets any less scared of Chuuya.]

[Chuuya is surprised when other-Chuuya has to ask this random guy which room is his, but it’s probably just because he’s drunk, so Chuuya shrugs it off for now.

He’s more interested in whoever it is that seems to be cowering in fear of tiny blond Chuuya...]

Oi. You live here too?

[Oh boy, now his speech is slightly slurred, and he must look a mess, drunk and disheveled and sniffling from the cold that’s slowly creeping back up on him after all that excitement.]

M’name’s Chuuya too. [A dumb giggle.] Isn’t that weird??

[He’s in his goofy phase now.]

[It's absolutely just because he's drunk.]

[Chuuya would never guess that this man is a Dazai, because the Dazai he knows doesn’t appear to be afraid of anything or anyone.

Chuuya is way too drunk to socialize much right now, however, and he brushes past the guy to lean against the doorframe to room four.

He smirks at the worried looking guy and crosses his arms as he waits for tiny Chuuya to unlock the door.]

Don’t worry. I don’t bite...unless you want me to.

[Not too drunk to be a tease though, apparently.]

[While Chuuya is unlocking his door, Dazai takes in their general appearance - mussed clothes, tangled hair underneath the hats, satisfied smiles, super drunk - and turns bright red.]

Th-that won't be necessary, Ihavetogo!

[He makes a quick escape down the hallway.

Chuuya rolls his eyes as he finally gets his door open.] Ignore him, Dazai's always like that.

Hahh? Dazai??

[Okay, even in his drunken state Chuuya is coherent enough to realize that that’s fucking weird. He could deal with another Chuuya, but another Dazai as well??? No way.

He follows other-Chuuya inside and proceeds to fold his coat over a nearby chair and place his hat on top of it, followed by his gloves. That’s about all he manages before flopping down onto the bed, eyes fixing on the ceiling as he tries to make sense of such odd coincidences.]

This is fuckin’ weird...how are there two Dazai’s...

[Chuuya settles down on the floor. If there are two Dazais, that's a little weirder for a 'coincidence' than just two Chuuyas who are short and have great taste in hats.]

One Dazai's more than enough. The world doesn't need two of that peach blossom bastard.

[Oh right. This isn’t his bed. Oops. Chuuya sits up and dangles his legs over the edge with a frown.]

That Dazai doesn’t seem anything like the one I know, but it’s still fuckin’ bizarre.

[Chuuya hugs his knees to his chest and rests his chin on them as he tries to make sense of the situation...

And fails.]

Oi. Why’s that guy so afraid of you, anyway? You kick his ass or something?

I wish. Nah, he's just a wimp. The first time we met I got drunk and almost made him cry.

[It's an amusing story if you're not Dazai.]

He’s nothing like the bastard I know.

[While the Chuuyas may be similar, the Dazais certainly aren’t, but somehow that’s a bit of a relief. Two ADA Dazais running around would be absolute fucking chaos.]

You can have your bed back, by the way. Unless you don’t mind sharing.

Chuuya climbs into his bed, staying to one side of it. He's just sleeping in his clothes, aside from his hat which gets tossed onto a nightstand.]

[Chuuya is relieved that he isn’t being kicked out yet. This actually isn’t the weirdest spot he’s crashed before, and he definitely can’t complain about the company, so he scoots just a liiiiittle bit closer and curls up next to tiny-Chuuya.]

[The next morning other-Chuuya will most definitely find Mafia-Chuuya clinging to him, one arm tossed over his chest and a leg pinning him down.]

[Hangovers are an almost permanent state of being for Chuuya. He's either drunk or hungover, nothing else.

However, he does manage to get up at something resembling a reasonable hour, if only because he has a job to do and he'd rather have some booze in him before he goes off to fight.

Through the hangover haze, Chuuya recognizes that someone is clinging to him, and it's probably the guy he slept with last night.]

Oi. Get up.

[He attempts to make his escape, but it's doomed if he can't get other-Chuuya to move.]

Hnnn...five more minutes...

[Chuuya grumbles in response, his grip only tightening as he nuzzles his face into other-Chuuya’s neck. He smells good, if not a little bit like booze, plus he’s extremely warm...]

Lemme sleep...

[He says that, but then his hand wanders beneath other-Chuuya’s shirt to slide across his bare chest.]

[He's warm and his hand is warm, and Chuuya would very much like to stay here in bed for a while, but-]

Let go, I have work.

[He is not above just kicking other-Chuuya if he doesn't let him out of bed.]

[Chuuya huffs and stays curled around other-Chuuya for a second longer, but he’s not unreasonable; he knows how important work is, so he rolls over and curls in on himself instead.

He should get up and go soon, but...]

[He waves over his shoulder, and if other-Chuuya leaves him to his own devices he’ll end up staying here until he gets back.]

[Chuuya is gone long enough to have breakfast, get drunk, and do a few book delves. He shoots a bunch of Taints in the face, gets attacked by a bunch of Taints, and spends the whole time wishing he was still in bed.

When his duty for the day is over - so late in the morning - he makes his way back to his room and flops onto his bed, whether or not other-Chuuya is still in it.]

Ughhhh.

[As luck would have it, Mafia-Chuuya is still occupying the bed, though at one point he did get up, wander the halls to find a bathroom, and wandered back to collapse onto the bed once again. His hair is a mess and his clothes are disheveled, but he’s still rather lovely, even in his still slightly hungover state.]

Welcome back.

[Chuuya yawns and gravitates towards other-Chuuya once again, and once he’s close enough he can smell the booze wafting off of him.]

Damn, already hitting the booze this early? I’m almost a little jealous.

[Mafia-Chuuya is always pretty, obviously.]

Don't be, half of it's just because withdrawal is a bitch.

[And the other half is because he has no healthy grieving techniques, so. Fun for everybody.]

[As long as he’s reachable by phone he’ll be fine. He can zip across town on a moment’s notice if need be, but so far things have either been rather calm, or the rest of the Mafia was destroyed while Chuuya was out being irresponsible. Somehow he doubts that, though.]

[Chuuya reaches out and slides his fingers through a bit of that silky blonde hair with a grin.]

Chuuya grins when other-Chuuya starts playing with his hair: it's good they steered this back to flirting, because genuine gratitude is not something he knows how to deal with. Flirting is way easier.]
