He doesn't mention that he can't hear any thoughts from the castle either, but that's better than actually hearing any, since it looked like an abandoned castle. ]
Not too dry or thin air, I hope.
[ At least he has one of his small oxygen tanks in one of his jacket pockets, so if he needs it he's prepared. Don't go too fast though, he's not very good with exercise. ]
But there's only one way to know.
no subject
[If Niimi were by himself, he'd run right in, but he's learned enough about Haruka to know that he's not good at keeping up. So he'll walk inside instead.]
Don't worry, Harucchin, I'll protect you if there's something scary.
no subject
That's very dependable, Niimi-san. I'll count on you.
[ He carries a gun but if he uses it too much he'll just end up dislocating a shoulder or something again. This fragile body is a menace. ]
no subject
Good! Because we're friends ♥
[And Niimi will definitely keep his friends safe.
The castle is big, and creepy, and empty... so far. It doesn't look like it's full of traps, or at least not immediately.
Something falls off the ceiling. Niimi jumps a little, but it looks like it was just a rotting piece of wood.]
no subject
Someone claiming to be friends with him is still an odd thing to Haruka though. He can tell that the man-that-looks-like-a-child is sincere, because of his thoughts and because of how clear the tones he hears in his voice are. Honest people are the best people, no matter their personality, since their voices don't hurt his ears. But it's none the less weird, being dubbed a friend of someone. ]
Yes.
[ Well. He's decided to trust people more anyway, so very well. As an albino werewolf with the abilities he has he's not had many friends, so it's sort of nice.
He can't hear anything within close range, but there is something, whispers in his ear that he can't make out, so the castle might not be entirely as abandoned as it seems. ]
Ah, it's really in disrepair, isn't it. It's falling apart.
no subject
[Niimi has a writer's curiosity, and that overwhelms any part of him that might be a bit spooked. It's interesting, and he probably won't be hit on the head with a piece of the ceiling.
...Probably.]
no subject
[ Haruka does have his special Secret Doberman abilities that lets him hear if anyone is around. ]
no subject
[Niimi's not the biggest, or the strongest, but he'll do his best to protect his friends. So they'll be fine!]
no subject
I have no doubts about that.
[ They have made it further into the castle though, and has reached a flight or stairs in front of them, while there are corridors and doors on either side. ]
Would the audience hall be right up the stairs?
no subject
[Niimi hasn't been to castles much himself, but that sounds right to him.]
no subject
[ He stares up the stairs.
Those stairs are so much stairs that it's daunting. ]
....so can we try something that won't put us even higher above the sea level?
[ Elevation is his enemy. ]
no subject
I don't think I can carry you up. I could try?
[That's a bad idea.]
no subject
]
I'm not sure that's a good idea.
no subject
[I don't want to make Harucchin climb it himself, that'd be mean to him.]
no subject
I know I'm light, but I'm not that light. You're still much smaller than me, Niimi-san.
[ That's not an insult, merely a fact. He would be smaller if he turned into a wolf, of course, but 1) he's still pretending to be a bunny, and 2) he would pass out for about a day due to exhaustion, since there's no full moon out. ]
no subject
...maybe I could make a pulley...?
no subject
It's alright, we can take the bottom floor room first and see if we find anything interesting. High elevation is the greatest enemy, you know.
[ Well. For Haruka. ]
no subject
[I don't want Harucchin to miss out on anything! He's a good friend, he should get to see everything.]
no subject
Splitting up can be a good idea or a bad idea, but this far Haruka has not heard any evidence of anyone else being around. And if they separate he can try to keep track on Niimi by concentrating on his thought. Maybe ask him to think loudly or something. ]
That's very nice of you, Niimi-san. You don't have to do that though. Should we try this way?
[ He motions to the left, down the hall and toward a group of doors at the end. ]
no subject
It's as good as the other way! Let's go!
[Niimi starts to head down the hallway, making sure not to get too far ahead of Haruka even in his excitement.]
no subject
Thanks for not rushing ahead. There's no way he'd be able to keep up with energetic people that way. ]
Well, we don't know that yet. Only by finding out what's at both ends, we'll know that.
no subject
[It's never steered Niimi wrong so far.]
no subject
[ As for Haruka he's gone by logic and whatever is the best way to pull a plan off, so spontaneous actions like exploring isn't anything he's got much experience with. ]
no subject
[And the hallways look pretty much the same to him. No way of knowing what's at either end.]
no subject
[ Sometimes it really matters, though. But maybe not so much when you're not involved in crimes. ]
