Basically this is for the PSL That Never Was, where a bunch of characters got thrown into a Generic Murdergame but we only felt like doing some random threads and not committing to a whole murdergame.

Post with the character you're putting into the hypothetical Generic Murdergame. Include as much or as little detail about them as you want - title, profile, typical habits, whether they were spared by the RNG or not, etc.

Then tag other people with whatever threads you feel like doing.

What happened?

... after the last trial, he was sounding desperate. Then this week... he threw down the gauntlet. One of us dies or we all did.

I just took the choice outta everyone's hands.

You mean you died so no one else would have to? And you wanted to keep them from having to do this again and again? What if next week, he does the same thing?

He might. But... even if it just bought everyone a week I had to do it. It's my responsibility.

[maidofmistakes]

...What do you mean?

[shinetagonist]

[He sighs. No point hiding it now- though for most of the time he's known her and the others here he didn't know either. So it's not exactly a secret]

Back in my world... I'm- it's complicated. But basically I'm a caretaker of humanity.

You mean like me or Alice? A super?

Not exactly.

['more like a god' is something he can't bring himself to say. He made his choice, to save everyone back home and stop the endless cycle of timelines.]

...So you felt like you had to be the one to do it. Even though nobody knows what'll happen now?

Everyone was talking about doing a vote, or drawing straws. I couldn't let them do that. Let them...

[He swallows heavily]

...be forced to do that. Plus, I wouldn't be surprised if that was his plan. Make us ALL 'take responsibility' and wipe everyone at once.

Probably. People like that will make you think anything just to get what they want.

What are we going to do? I know we're dead, we can't even reach them, but there has to be something, even if we don't exist.

That's where you're wrong. We DO exist. And as long as you can still think and act, there's hope. Got it?

[maidofmistakes]

But we're dead! We can't touch them, there are more and more of us over on this side... I don't know anyone in here who can summon the dead.

[shinetagonist]

[She's upset. He can argue his point all he wants but instead-

-he walks over to her, reaches out, lightly pinching her nose between the knuckles of two fingers]

You think so? Most people don't come back from the dead, but... maybe we can do something. We've got everyone waiting for us back home. At least for their sakes, we should find a way to get the others out.
