POST-TRUSTFELL CALL ME OUT
Hey, you! Would you like to visit scenic, seaside Dalsnes? It has many wonderful features, including not being infested with trolls! It's as safe as any seaport town can be.
Oh, so you've already heard about the newcomers? Well, they're all very nice people. The man with the shrimp tail goes out hunting with Captain Sigrun sometimes, and spends the rest of the time either doing odd jobs around the town or supervising that weird guy and the... robot, I think that's what he's called? Not sure why they need supervising, but...
His... wife, I guess?? The giant lobster. She lives near the shore, and sometimes helps us take down whales. She's always fussing over the kids who come and visit her - they think she's a kind spirit of the sea. They might not be wrong.
And their daughter, with the lobster tail, brought with her a working camera way more advanced than anything we've got, so she's the city's photographer now. Her rates are very affordable for weddings and other special occasions!
So, really, they're all very kind people. Nobody to be worried about.
(Call out either Cherryblod, Doloz, Cherryblod+Doloz, or special guest Lobco, in the title of your comment and give me a starter/prompt or ask me to come up with something, and we'll thread stuff.

[And indeed, practically the moment the shoreline and Doloz are in sight - wow, that is a giant lobster, she seems to have just been chilling though - she starts waving a claw in what easily translates to 'I am thrilled to see you and your friend, darling, please come over here'.]
no subject
But it's another thing entirely to see Cherryblod's giant lobster wife in person.
Colress can't help but gaze upon Doloz in awe as they approach. He'll...wave as well? And once they're within comfortable speaking distance...]
Mrs. Doloz? It is an honor to finally get to meet you- my name is Colress.
[He looks absolutely overwhelmed, but excited all the same.]
no subject
[Doloz's voice, at least, is entirely normal - if a little loud.]
The honor's all mine - my honey's said so many good things about you!
no subject
But it's probably best to theorize about that sort of stuff at another time, since they're now in the middle of a conversation...
He smiles brightly, but the chuckle he gives is one of slight embarrassment. Well, it does make him feel good to be talked highly of, but wants to be modest of course.]
Aha, I see my reputation proceeds me! Thank you for the kind words, Cherryblod.
Likewise, Cherryblod has told me many good things about you, too! I was glad to discover that you and Lobco were able to make it out of your world safely.
no subject
Thank you. To be honest, Lobco and I weren't sure if we would survive or not... With my husband going suddenly missing, and - I don't know how much he's told you about what happened to our home, but we wouldn't have been the first to die.
[Or the second, or the fifth.]
I'm glad we managed to escape, but our friends...
[She might tear up. Do you want to be responsible for making Doloz cry, Colress?]
no subject
So he'll, uh. Wave his hands apologetically.]
Ah... I am terribly sorry to have taken the conversation down this road so quickly. It was not my intention. It is certainly bittersweet, but it is also good that your family was reunited, especially after everything that went on for both parties.
[Murdergames and world disasters...he knows that Cherryblod's world wasn't the only one to suffer like that. Man...]
I believe you all will be safe here, at least. Cherryblod and Sigrun do a wonderful job at making everyone feel safe, and you're here with both of them.
[...Well. There were some tough spots where they made people not feel safe, BUT THEY TURNED OUT OKAY...]
no subject
I should be the one grateful you're alright! Thank you for keeping my honey's spirits up and for everything else you did for him. We don't have much to offer now, but if this old woman can ever be of service to you, you only need to ask!
...If I can do it from the ocean, that will help.
Doloz isn't up for leaving for a while. I'll happily do anything you need done that she can't cover. Especially if it's cooking for you.
no subject
You don't have to worry about anything like that, Mrs. Doloz. As I've said to Cherryblod as well, your company would be more than enough! I am sure Cherryblod has mentioned this already, but my world has absolutely nothing like either of you. I truly am happy to engage in simple conversation, really. ...And if you are willing to put up with my inevitable ramblings about Pokemon, that would be all the better.
[How often can he say he gets to talk to a talking giant lobster? It's absolutely exciting!
Cherryblod, meanwhile, gets a chuckle from him.]
Oh my, between your cooking and Tarrlok's, I'm going to have to up my exercise. [HE'S NOT USED TO BEING SO WELL-FED...] I sincerely appreciate the offer.
no subject
And please, just call me Doloz ♥ A friend of my husband is a friend of mine!
no subject
And I am happy to hear that! I promise not to ramble too much though, of course. I am more excited to hear more about your family, honestly!
[He's still just so fascinated that Cherryblod's family is a thing. It's really neat. And...less so in a science-y fashion than in the past- they just seem like really great people to him now.]
no subject
[She will never shut up and she knows it. Cherryblod does too, judging by his chuckling.]
no subject
[He seems serious about this!
...He obviously doesn't realize what he's getting himself into, but. For now he seems serious.]
no subject
[Colress, you poor soul.]
Have you had dinner yet? It must have been a long trip. [Doloz it was an instantaneous portal-] You must let my husband and I feed and entertain you!
I hope you like fish. We mostly have fish and bread here.
[At least Cherryblod's okay with this.]
no subject
Oh, the actual process takes no time at all. [Well of course he's just going to say it like it is...] But I haven't had dinner, no.
[He actually didn't even realize how hungry he'd gotten, oops. There's just been so much going on!]
I would love a fish meal from you, Cherryblod. I mean...I can't say I ever expected to receive a fish meal from a shrimp, but there is a first for everything!
no subject
That's what there is to eat, and I would rather have a fish I know has never been intelligent than go hungry. No complaints from my side, and Lobco's always been accommodating.
[She's gotten used to it, even if she'd been the tiniest bit unnerved the first few times.]
Should I bring something out to you, or would you rather come inside?
no subject
[The things he'd scrounge together on the Frigate after disbanding Team Plasma, man. He really needed to get better at the whole cooking thing.]
Hmm. Are we all eating together? Or did you both have your dinner already?
no subject
Oh, you know me. I can scrounge up something if you'd rather eat someplace comfortable!
no subject
[...though he kind of figures Cherryblod eats outside with his wife rather than inside anyway. DOESN'T HURT TO ASK THOUGH.]
no subject
Oh, not at all! I'd love to get to know him better ♪
Wonderful! Then I'll be back soon.
[With a wave, he's headed towards his home to make something decent for the three of them.]
no subject
I appreciate the further conversation!
You said you wanted to get to know me better? What would you like to know?
no subject
no subject
Also "murdergame business" is certainly one way to put it...]
Well, I am a Pokemon scientist. I study Pokemon, specifically the latent power which they hold within them. Before my experience at the Vault, I had recently concluded my primary research: discovering the best method for drawing out a Pokemon's power. However, I did not remember that when I awoke in the Vault, so it was a bit anxiety-inducing to be away from my work!
[Basically what can be gathered here is that Colress is very serious about his job.]
no subject
How are your Pokemon doing? Cherryblod told me they're adorable and sweet, and he said he missed petting them already.
no subject
[Because how would he completely his research if he died?! Thankfully he didn't have to worry about that for very long, he just got other things to worry about.]
Ah! They are doing well, actually! Would you like to meet some of them for yourself?
[All six might be a little overwhelming, but he's sure at least Klinklang would be happy to meet Cherryblod's wife.]
no subject
Oh, I would love to!
