POST-TRUSTFELL CALL ME OUT

Hey, you! Would you like to visit scenic, seaside Dalsnes? It has many wonderful features, including not being infested with trolls! It's as safe as any seaport town can be.

Oh, so you've already heard about the newcomers? Well, they're all very nice people. The man with the shrimp tail goes out hunting with Captain Sigrun sometimes, and spends the rest of the time either doing odd jobs around the town or supervising that weird guy and the... robot, I think that's what he's called? Not sure why they need supervising, but...

His... wife, I guess?? The giant lobster. She lives near the shore, and sometimes helps us take down whales. She's always fussing over the kids who come and visit her - they think she's a kind spirit of the sea. They might not be wrong.

And their daughter, with the lobster tail, brought with her a working camera way more advanced than anything we've got, so she's the city's photographer now. Her rates are very affordable for weddings and other special occasions!

So, really, they're all very kind people. Nobody to be worried about.

Thank you. To be honest, Lobco and I weren't sure if we would survive or not... With my husband going suddenly missing, and - I don't know how much he's told you about what happened to our home, but we wouldn't have been the first to die.

Ah... I am terribly sorry to have taken the conversation down this road so quickly. It was not my intention. It is certainly bittersweet, but it is also good that your family was reunited, especially after everything that went on for both parties.

I am sure Cherryblod has mentioned this already, but my world has absolutely nothing like either of you. I truly am happy to engage in simple conversation, really. ...And if you are willing to put up with my inevitable ramblings about Pokemon, that would be all the better.

[How often can he say he gets to talk to a talking giant lobster? It's absolutely exciting!

Cherryblod, meanwhile, gets a chuckle from him.]

Oh, the actual process takes no time at all. [Well of course he's just going to say it like it is...] But I haven't had dinner, no.

[He actually didn't even realize how hungry he'd gotten, oops. There's just been so much going on!]

I would love a fish meal from you, Cherryblod. I mean...I can't say I ever expected to receive a fish meal from a shrimp, but there is a first for everything!

That's what there is to eat, and I would rather have a fish I know has never been intelligent than go hungry. No complaints from my side, and Lobco's always been accommodating.

[She's gotten used to it, even if she'd been the tiniest bit unnerved the first few times.]

Should I bring something out to you, or would you rather come inside?

Completely understandable. Sometimes eating what is available is all you can really do.

[The things he'd scrounge together on the Frigate after disbanding Team Plasma, man. He really needed to get better at the whole cooking thing.]

Hmm. Are we all eating together? Or did you both have your dinner already?

Tell me about yourself! My honey's covered a lot of what happened in the vault, but I don't know much about you before that! What were you doing before the whole murdergame business?

Well, I am a Pokemon scientist. I study Pokemon, specifically the latent power which they hold within them. Before my experience at the Vault, I had recently concluded my primary research: discovering the best method for drawing out a Pokemon's power. However, I did not remember that when I awoke in the Vault, so it was a bit anxiety-inducing to be away from my work!

[Basically what can be gathered here is that Colress is very serious about his job.]

You must be very dedicated to your research! I would be more anxious about people potentially trying to kill me... And being away from my family, of course. It's amazing that you'd be able to keep your mind on work at all.

How are your Pokemon doing? Cherryblod told me they're adorable and sweet, and he said he missed petting them already.

Well...I was concerned about the possibility of being killed, certainly. That fear was all-too present my entire time spent there.

[Because how would he completely his research if he died?! Thankfully he didn't have to worry about that for very long, he just got other things to worry about.]

Ah! They are doing well, actually! Would you like to meet some of them for yourself?

[All six might be a little overwhelming, but he's sure at least Klinklang would be happy to meet Cherryblod's wife.]

[Doloz's antennae wiggle. If Colress has been paying close attention to Cherryblod, he might recognize that as a sign of happiness.]

Oh, I would love to!

[Oh no, that's just as cute as when Cherryblod does it...

With a smile, he digs into his coat pocket to locate Klinklang's Pokeball first.]

All right then, here is Klinklang first. I would say out of my Pokemon, it is the one closest with your husband.

[THEY WALTZED, DOLOZ.]

[Colress tosses the Pokeball into the air, and a beam of bright light shoots out. Within seconds, it forms into the shape of a bunch of rotating gears, and Klinklang comes into focus!

It whirrs happily and spins around, only to lay its eyes on the giant creature before it. Its gears spin quickly and it backs up a little bit, unsure what to make of Doloz at first. What's that?!]

Klinklang, this is Doloz- Cherryblod's wife.

[Colress kind of got the idea that Klinklang is confused, so best to clear things up quickly.

And that does help. Klinklang approaches slowly, still not sure what Doloz even is.]

My, you are a cute one, aren't you?

[Seems Doloz shares her husband's opinions on what is 'cute', too. She extends a pincer towards Kliklang, slowly. Though it's almost impossible to read her expression, her voice conveys her happiness well enough.]

It might be hard for me to pet you, dearie, even though I'd like to. Thank you for being so kind to my husband ♥

[Colress is consistently amazed at how popular the gears seem to be to pet. Like, he gets it, because Klinklang is very cute, but it's just not done very often back in Unova!

While it was initially a little nervous, Klinklang floats up to Doloz's pincer. It's happy to be able to understand her, though it still wonders if she's part Pokemon or something? It has no idea what else she could be.

Either way, it gives a happy whir. Cherryblod was kind too, so it was only natural to be kind right back! Cherryblod is a great friend. And they danced!!]
