Red Sea Yonaka post, open. (General warnings for Mogeko Castle-type stuff.)

[She'd fought against the red sea.

Why had she fought? It was painful - oh, agonizingly painful, all the empty parts in her body and her mind filled with the sea - but if she'd known how much better it would make her, why would she have resisted?

Because she is better, now. She's stronger - she doesn't need anyone to protect her, doesn't need to run and hide anymore. She's strong enough to be the one her victims run from, if she chooses.

She was so afraid, before, afraid of more than Mogekos - but now she's in control of herself. She doesn't need to fear anything, she can do anything to anyone without memories of a long-departed castle making her wilt.

It's alright now. Even though it was painful, and even though she screamed that she didn't want it, it was fine in the end. She's grateful.

She had been broken. And now the sea has fixed her.

It doesn't matter to her where in the castle she is. She wanders aimlessly, for now. Maybe she'll see people she knew before. Maybe she'll teach them how much better everything could be...]

Too many people to name. Even you.

But it's alright now. No one can hurt me anymore.

[ his hand wavers, drifting back slightly, hanging in the air between them. ]

[chasescenes]

It's okay.

[She reaches for his hand to interlace his fingers with hers.]

I forgive you. Because you're my brother, and I love you.

I love you too, Yonaka.

[ she already knows he didn't do any of it to spite her. she knows. so he doesn't say it. it doesn't need to be said. he leans in and presses his forehead to hers. ]

What did Akoumi do?

It's complicated, and a little weird, but mostly what happened was she put her sea in me.

[Does that sound bizarre to him? It makes so much more sense to her now that the red sea is actually in her.]

Her sea... what does it do to you?

[chasescenes]

[So many things. Hollowed her out and filled her up with itself so that only the shell of Yonaka remains.]

It made me stronger, and it made me happy.

[siscornerer]

Are you sure you're happy, Yonaka?

[chasescenes]

Absolutely, I've never been more sure of anything.

[siscornerer]

I see... then I'm happy as well.

[chasescenes]

I'm so glad. Your happiness is the most important thing to me.

[She embraces him tightly. She knew he would understand, but it's a relief to hear it still.]

[siscornerer]

Mine?

[ he seems surprised, and strokes her back, holding her in return. ]

Then as long as we're together, we'll be protecting one anothers happiness.

[ meaning hers is most important to him. ]

[chasescenes]

You won't ever leave me, right?

[She'll be around for a long, long time like this. But he's much more fragile than her now...]

[siscornerer]

I will never leave you ever again, Yonaka.

[chasescenes]

[She smiles at him, and kisses his cheek near the corner of his lips.]

I believe you.

[siscornerer]

[ that... surprises him. his eyes widen slightly, and he'll shift to glance down at her, not letting her go. ]

Yonaka?

[chasescenes]

Yes?

[Still smiling. Nothing is wrong, and she's so happy to be with her brother that nothing could possibly be wrong.]

[siscornerer]

You've never done that before.

[chasescenes]

Don't know why not.

[siscornerer]

I see... then- [ he'll lean in and kiss her properly, before carefully pulling away after a moment. his words before were sincere, but these ones hold a much more loaded meaning. ]

I will never leave you alone again, Yonaka.

[Yonaka before might have flustered, or been embarrassed or even ashamed at her brother kissing her like that, but Yonaka now only lets her smile widen.] I'm so glad.

Lots of ways. You could stab me and I'd just heal right up.
