Have you ever been in Aather? Have you ever played a Heart Game? If you haven't, that's the guide for building your own, but here are the basics of this meme!

-Plan out the layout of your character's heart.
-Post with the entranceway into your character's heart.
-Other characters will enter and start making their way around more-or-less blindly trying not to (or trying to?) screw anything up.
-Remember, changes can and do happen and affect later entrants as well!
-Why is this happening? That's something you can decide based on 'well it's a meme' or 'trying to work this with game canon' or whatever.
-I'm not really good at explaining things, but this Heart Game shows a bit of how a successful game is organized.

Everything from literary fiction to romance novels (though most of those will be halfway blank as she shut the book when it got too embarrassing). There are cookbooks. There are medical texts. There are parenting manuals. If it is in front of her, she will think that maybe it might be useful to know.*

*As soon as he approaches that end of the library, he'll see a figure appear in the mist, freeze, and quickly run away between the shelves.*

*The voice is faint, and she's still not coming out from where she's hidden.*

*There's a green light in the direction she ran off in, though.*

Me? I'll be fine, and I'll protect you. And you can protect me, too.

[Following the green light.]

I... I've always tried, but...

*The mist starts to clear when the light cuts through it before it fades. Retasu is standing there, all right, but instead of any of the outfits he normally sees her in or her battle uniform, she's in a long green dress, shrinking back into herself, and her eyes are blank and pointed at the floor.

It's Felt!Retasu.*

...It's all right now, Retasu. Everyone makes mistakes sometimes. And I've listened to people who weren't good for me, too.

You're alive. No thanks to me.

I could have done more for you, too.

I-Issei, you're-- you're okay-- *She breaks down crying and curls up into a ball on the floor.*

[He immediately goes over to hug her.] It's okay, you'll be okay too...

*She sniffles, initially drawing back, but debating whether she should hug him in return.*

[He wipes her tears away with one hand.] Shhhh.

*Sniff... bawwwwwwwwwwwwwwww cling.*

[There there, it'll be okay. Have more hugs.]

*Sniff. Hug.* I don't deserve this.

I love you. Is that okay?

Yes. That's okay.

Sometimes I feel like I might start to like somebody else, but it's never gotten serious. In the end, though, you're still my most important person. I don't know if that makes me a failure, but if I always love you, please forgive me.
