[There's something suspicious in the way Eater smiles on their date. He's dressed up in something more his style - a very nice shirt and pants, but still pants. And there must be something in his pocket that he keeps fingering.]

Did you have fun?

[April has noticed, but he seems happy, so it can't be anything bad, right?

So in reply to his question, she happily nods with a grin.]

Yep, it was a lot of fun!

[harpbeat]

Great!

Hey... can I ask you something? Nothing bad, promise.

[technologic]

[Now she looks curious, but she nods again.]

Hmm? Yeah, of course.

[harpbeat]

If I asked you to marry me, right now, what would you say?

[Blink.

And cue her face turning completely red as she stares at him.]

... W-w-w-what?

[harpbeat]

[He pulls a small box out of his pocket. It's about the right size for a ring.]

[Cue some more blinking at the box and then back at him.

April swallows tightly, looking rather stunned.]

I-I- w-wha- E-Eater? [Nope can't compute.]

[harpbeat]

[This is about what he expected.]

[She takes a second to calm her nerves a bit. Although that doesn't work, and she's still completely flustered.]

W-w-what are you d-d-doing? [She knows it's pretty obvious, but her brain still hasn't accepted it yet.]

[harpbeat]

I figured I was proposing to you.

P-p-pro- [It's amazing she hasn't fainted from how much blood has rushed to her face. And she has to take a few seconds to come up with a coherent reply.]

You know, I'm not one to understand beorc motives easily.

[Tibarn's voice is filled with amusement as he enters the large castle room to see what she's doing. He has to hover to keep his feet from becoming tangled in the wires from her work. Flying over to her, he watches curiously.]

What's with the metal threads? Planning on creating some sort of trap?

[April blinks up at him from the little pile of wires she's got herself settled in the middle of. Then she smiles faintly and shakes her head.]

Nope. They're wires, for carrying electrical currents, and I'm using them to make something... I'm not sure what it is yet, but it'll be a gadget of some sort.

[She lifts up the metal frame that she's working on, tilting it this way and that as she thinks.]

Y'know, usually people know what they're making when they start to do it.

[A slight chuckle and he drops down to the ground to look at the frame.]

Pretty good work. I thought you'd need a forge or something to make things like that.

I tend to make plans up as I go along if I'm making stuff for fun.

[She glances over at him with a grin.]

Aha, I cheat. I can use my powers to manipulate metal, which is how I can do this.

Oh, that's right! You're a mage. I almost forgot.

[The joking tones of his voice are pretty obvious. It really isn't possible to be around April for long without seeing some technical advancement or other.]

I actually came to remind you that you're late for dinner. I can bring it up here if you're too busy. Otherwise it'll probably get eaten.

[She chuckles quietly, though the mention of food instantly gets her attention.]

O-oh, I lost track of time! I'm not too busy, so I can go get it! [Nobody is getting her food if she can help it.]

You mean you can actually get out of there?

[Really, the amount of wires makes him wonder.]

Yes, I can- [Attempts to stand up, wires wrapped around legs force her back down. And she can feel her face turn red a bit.] ... G-g-give me a minute to untangle myself.

I'd pull you out, but I don't want to break your wires. Guess you're stuck there! And we made your favourite dessert especially.

Whaaaa- I-I will get out in a minute! I just need to... [And it seems like her leg brace decided to try to become one with the wires. And she pouts even more at it as she tries to remove them without breaking them.]

Welp, there is clearly only one solution! He picks her up, wires, frame and all, and flies.]

So she'll squeak in surprise and just cling the frame to her chest so that she doesn't drop it.]
