call me out v. 15.0

Call out one of the characters from my muselist with a starter, a prompt, a general 'hey can we do something with these characters' comment, a smoke signal, etc., and I'll get back to you with some kind of RP thread!
Old CR, new CR, assumed CR, canonmates, AU, crossover, whatever, it's all good.

for satoko, cw: discussion of child death
This memory is of a funeral. The casket is sized for a child.
The holder of this memory is silent, making it hard to tell who it's from - at least until they start to put the casket in the ground. Then the perspective lunges forward, clinging to the casket until he's pulled off by other mourners.
"Don't take him away from me!" Chuuya's voice, wracked with anguish as he struggles. "Please don't take my son away...!"
In the morning, Chuuya makes breakfast for both of them. Something simple, but notable just because he usually lets Satoko handle it. He doesn't quite meet her eyes.]

when he serves them breakfast, she takes it with a small smile. and, for a moment, she is tempted to act completely normal; to pretend she's seen nothing. but chuuya is family, and he needs to speak about it. doesn't he? he must.
she tears off a bit with her chopsticks, and she considers her words carefully. when she finally speaks, it is to say: ]
"The inspiration to serve must grow."
[ she takes a bite - nods. ]
...it's good.

But this is Satoko, who has stuck with him for this long even knowing that he's not at all suitable to be a guardian to her. He owes her honesty, and maybe he owes honesty to himself, too.]
...His name was Fumiya. He was two.

I'm sorry. [ what else is there she can say? she stares down at the food, ruminating for a moment. ] Do you... Would you want to talk about him?
[ it's not a formality. it's a real, honest question. what does he want? ]

[Shouldn't he know, after all this time? But the pain hasn't ever gotten any less.]
It hurts to think about him. But I couldn't forget him if I wanted to, either.
