[A: Master/Servant AU]
[You have summoned a Servant.
Probably. You have definitely summoned something, even if it's manifested as some kind of cloud of darkness and death. If you squint, you can kind of make out a face... or those could just be lighter patches in the vague arrangement of eyes and a mouth.
Whatever it is, the cloud circles around you slowly before tilting the vague approximation of a head.]
[B: jamjar]
[Your new roommate is named 'Pale Rider', according to your dorm room's door. That's pretty ominous but surely they can't be that bad-
Never mind that is a cloud of darkness and death that is currently sitting on your chair.
After a second, it forms a hazy arm-like tendril to wave with. Hello?]

B, in which Steve finally decided who to throw at plague dad
That sounds...odd, she's sure if her sister were here, she'd have a witty comment about it, but since she's not here, there's not wittiness, just a blank stare of sorts before opening the door and after that...the blank stare just kind of intensifies while looking at the...thing, is it a thing? It looks like a cloud? She's not sure! But whatever it is in the chair.
At least it's...waving? So probably friendly?]
...hi?
[A greeting of her own while she tries to do something else besides stare. Add this to the list of things that aren't going great.]

The arm of the cloud points to the sign on the door with Mukuro and Pale Rider's names on it. That's them, yes?]
no subject
Yeah, that's right. I'm Ikusaba Mukuro. So we're...roommates? If you're Pale Rider, that is.
[She can't imagine why it wouldn't be, but strange world, strange people, strange...cloud thing. So she's not exactly sure, either. For all she knows every room has a disease cloud in it.]

They tilt their head in a way that would be quizzical with an actual expression. It's hard to ask questions with just gestures.]

I'm sorry, I don't understand. Uh,...I can get something to write with if that'll help?
[Can cloud things write? She has no clue!]
no subject
Where... is this?
no subject
I don't know. Another world? It doesn't seem possible, but a lot of this doesn't seem possible.
[Her explanation's as much explaining for herself as it is for Pale Rider, here. It's a lot to take in. Even with that whole treating it like a new deployment approach, it's still a bit beyond her ability to handle, or at least she thinks so.]
But it's happening, so I guess it is.
[She's not entirely confident about that, but she can't really argue with that thought. She's in another world, her roommate is a cloud thing that sounds like awful when it talks, doesn't make sense, but that all definitely seems to be the case.]

Nothing is impossible.
[It would probably be better for everyone if Pale Rider thought some things were impossible, but they don't, so.]
no subject
[Actually, no but there. She can't really think of anything. Still, this is a bit beyond the impossibles she's used to seeing made possible. So instead she'll just go with...]
...it's still a lot to get used to.

Speaking of their role. The shadow shifts form, becoming smaller and more humanoid - the outline of a little girl, perhaps.]
Have you seen...?
no subject
I haven't seen anyone like that.
[It occurs to her to ask if the shadow's seen her sister, but Mukuro isn't quite sure how to even begin to ask that or describe Junko in a way that it would understand.
...and she's also not sure if that's really a good idea anyways.]
Is she a friend of yours?
[Do living plagues have friends?]
no subject
She is important.
no subject
[She's really not sure if that's a good or bad thing. It certainly sucks for Mukuro, but it's probably for the best for jamjar-land if her sister isn't here.]
What's her name? I can let you know if I see her.
[Trying to be helpful here.]

Tsubaki. Thank you.
[Tsubaki is very polite and would want them to be polite also.]
no subject
Tsubaki, got it. I'll let you know if I run into her.
