You've awoken in a creepy goth carnival, with a rasping moth man informing you that you've entered a tournament as part of a greater Ritual. The ritual will be complete, and the living returned to their world, when only one participant remains. If no one kills, then Grimm will be forced to provide a little extra incentive to get things moving.

It just says something about where you came from, I'm pretty sure. Some people's worlds sound dumb. Like how Kirika is a "magical girl" on her profile but she's a total jerk and magical girls are supposed to be nice.

And there's another thing I'm not familiar with at all! When you say "magical girl" the first thing I think of is a woman who either practices witchcraft or possesses supernatural powers. Neither of those descriptions suggest inherent kindness, especially the first one.

That's a witch, not a magical girl! Magical girls are cuter and nice and do good deeds. And I guess they can be witches too, but that's not important right now! What I mean is Kirika's selfish and hogs all the snacks like they're hers and she won't stop talking about her stupid girlfriend.

[ Oh right, Kirika was that boorish girl with the sweet tooth. It's hard to forget a girl like that, but Luca hadn't talked to her much for good reason. ]

I do agree, she is troublesome. [ He quirks a brow ] But who's to say that magical girls from her world only act nice on the job to keep up appearances? After all, they're still human... Aren't they?

Grimm's not human and he kidnapped us and wants us all to die, and even he doesn't hog the cake.

You know. There are a few things I find funny about that... Host. For lack of a better word.

But don't you think it's strange how a... Creature... Whatever the host is. Isn't it strange how a fellow who wants us to kill each other seems to treat his captives with charity and respect? I'd half expect a bloodthirsty kidnapper to be more cruel than that.

Yeah, it's messed up. And he always gives the same excuse that makes no sense! Who even needs a ritual like that?

Erm... Well... Mirrors are made of glass. You might hurt yourself if you simply break them open.

[ He starts walking away from the mirror he was expecting. ]

Besides, there could be more to this area than just the mirrors.

[ He's gonna go and make sure the girl doesn't get crushed by glass or something. ]

[Makoto whines and tugs at the frame some more, only to hear a strange pop. She lets go and tumbles back in a ball. As for the convex mirror, it's hanging by a corner, and inside the frame appear to be... storage shelves with supplies???]

[ Luca's careful not to let the mirror fall on the girl... Only for him to notice what's behind.... ]

[ If the mirror's meant to come all the way out, he'll do so and set it to the side. Even if he doesn't manage to pull out the whole mirror, he's still looking through those supplies. What have we got in here? ]

[Luca should be able to pull it out and... apologies to Mini, I suck at running investigations, this is a PSL where we all do whatever we want anyway. But it looks like mostly things for the day-to-day operation of the circus -- some ticket rolls, a dustpan, a suspicious-looking letter folded up that doesn't actually seem to have anything written on it when you unfold it...????

Makoto crawls back to the mirror and gets to her feet with a frown.]

It's all boring stuff.

[ He takes a particular interest in the paper, holding it up to the light and squinting at it. ]

Most people wouldn't think to use a mirror for a supply closet in a circus.

[ He smooths out the paper, sprinkles some dust from the dustpan on it, then immediately blows it off... Clearly, he's trying to figure out if there's a hidden message here by brute forcing all the ways to write a hidden message on paper. ]
