I guess a ninja's supposed to be good at blending in, huh? I trust you, though maybe you'll want to look through some school idol stuff to prepare. I know I did when Ayumu-chan and I first fell in love with school idols. I might've stayed up too late in a music video rabbit hole.

I will diligently study to prepare myself for this mission.

That's kind of what I should have expected from you, Chiyome-chan. [ahaha...] Hmm. How about we start with our own PVs?

[She pulls out her phone and goes to the first thing in her bookmarks.]

We just put this one together with Ayumu-chan. Well, Rina-chan did all the editing and some of the special effects, but we had practical effects too. The gardening club and the theatre club helped with some of it.

Oh, her costume is lovely.

Right? She and Ai-chan worked pretty hard on that one. School idols -- and managers like me, too -- do a lot more work than just singing. We put on everything we do. Though sometimes we get help from the other school clubs if we can manage it.

[sninja]

If I may... I do know how to make and mend clothing.

[It's a useful skill when you might need any number of disguises.]

That's great! We could use the help. I have a couple playlists if you want to study, and I can try working on some songs for you. I'm sure everyone will be happy to see you. Even if Kasumi-chan might get a little... you know how she is.

[Ayumu might be the jealous pining one, but Kasumi marched up to her on the first day of class and demanded to know who her favourite in the School Idol Club was and why it wasn't her.]

[Of course Chiyome had immediately said that Yuu was her favorite.]

They definitely are. I hope they don't cause any trouble for you. But I'm sure it'll be fine. The worst she does is try and plot for the other girls to gain weight or say something weird during an interview, and it never really works anyway. But she's a good girl, just really ambitious, I think is the word for it? Oh, speaking of whom! This one we just shot the PV in the city, so it looks different from the ones we do on stage.

[She clicks over to this one with a smile.]

Should I be testing your meals, Takasaki-san?

[they might be poisoned. with fat.]

I think I'll be fine. I'm not even an idol, anyway, I'm just support... and she always ends up eating the same things she got for everybody else anyway. [laughs] That's just one of the things you get used to.

[sninja]

...If you are certain it is fine.

[she protecc.]

I know this is really important to you, Chiyome-chan. This place is really peaceful, I promise, but I'll try and make sure you feel at home.

[sninja]

I do not wish to invent threats where there are none, but it is difficult to feel that I am serving you properly if I have nothing to protect you from...

[Which leaves her at a loss.]

And I'm not used to having people serve or protect me, either. Sorry. I really messed things up for you by summoning you, didn't I?

[sninja]

No! You are a wonderful Master, the fault is with me!

[She won't stand for anyone slandering her Master, even if it's her talking about herself.]

[She immediately drops her phone onto the table and clasps both of Chiyome's hands.]

Don't say mean things about yourself, okay? You haven't done anything wrong whatsoever. I might not be very good at this, but I'm going to do my best to make sure you're happy and okay, no matter what I have to study or how long I have to work at it!

[sninja]

[Her Master is so kind. She feels her face flush.]

Then... please do not say mean things about yourself, Takasaki-san. It distresses me when you do so.

[Yuu doesn't register that she herself is also blushing. She sighs and smiles a little.]

Okay. I guess I'll do my best to, anyway. I just want to make sure things are okay. I want to help everyone who needs me.

Because you are a very kind person.

[She gives her hands a squeeze.]

[She laughs nervously, but relaxes.]

Thanks, Chiyome-chan. If you really want to join the School Idol Club, I'll be right there to support you. How about you join some practice sessions? That'll give you a better feel for where to start, on top of things like watching how others do it.

Oh, erm - will I be expected to sing?

[She can, she's just... embarrassed.]
