[Hopefully their wedding guests have some popcorn to watch this fight.

The thing about tentacles is that Grimm has the same number of tentacles as he normally has arms, which means that he has four to work with. Which means he can grab onto the tendrils holding him and try to wrench them off him while not letting up the pressure on Danny's throat.]

[Now they all know why popcorn was offered right next to the wedding cake...

Danny grits his teeth, not particularly happy to realize that he may have miscalculated about the fact that Grimm has more tentacles to work with than he does. So, plan B then.

He brings his foot up to try to kick Grimm as hard as he can. Thankfully, not aimed for the other's face (that's just terrible to try to damage that feature of his husband even to try to win a fight) but for his chest or whatever else he can reach here instead. Trying to jar him enough so that he can free at least one of the tentacles he had been previously using to try to strangle Grimm to get one of his knives instead, to try to slash and stab at the tentacle pinning him down by the throat.]

[Grimm takes a kick to the chest, and it does hurt, but not enough to dislodge him. (His stagger count is fourteen. Danny has definitely not hit him fourteen times yet.)

He tightens his grip on Danny's neck, starting to cut off his airflow.]

[... Okay, then. Plan C.

Danny's arms go slack, no longer having any kind of grip with his tentacles, legs dropping back down to the floor when kicking no longer works.

It's hard to tell what his next move might be by suddenly allowing himself to go rather limp instead of struggling some more, but it doesn't seem like he's faking the part about not being able to breathe properly judging by the wheezing noise he's making.

Is Grimm the type of person who might lean in closer to get a better look here?]

[Not lean in, no, but he will loosen his grip on Danny's neck a fraction. He'd rather not actually kill his new husband - it would make the wedding night rather unfortunate.]

[Well, not leaning in close saves Grimm from potentially getting a headbutt directly to the face at least, but once Danny's got a moment to properly suck in a breath again, he tries a different tactic that involves trying to pushing himself upright just enough to get his mouth close to the tentacle and bite it as hard as he can to try to get it to let go from what he can reach of it.

Hard enough that most normal humans would probably start bleeding because of his teeth here, but Grimm's likely tougher than that, so Danny probably knows that this wouldn't work either, but is curious enough to try it for himself.]

[Grimm's tentacles are a good deal less protected than the rest of his body. He winces and unwillingly releases Danny's neck.

Claws would've been more useful. Stupid Iris.]

[Danny uses this opportunity to break free of Grimm's hold, scrambling back and up onto his feet a good distance here. However, he doesn't go to immediately attack Grimm as a result, instead taking this as a moment to catch his breath and rub at his neck here where he had been getting strangled before.]

I'm gonna--ha, have to remember to try that again later under better circumstances...

[... The getting strangled part, or the part about being able to be more successful next time about fighting back when he has normal hands again? He doesn't clarify, instead watching carefully this time to see what move Grimm makes before making any of his own.]

Oh, do you enjoy that sort of thing, my love?

[A casual question as he sends another few plumes of fire in Danny's direction.]

And if I said I did?

[He asks, as he concentrates on dodging here...]

Then I look forward to seeing your beautiful face turn blue beneath me.

[It's definitely easy to dodge more fire blasts while he's talking like that, right?]

[... Okay maybe his dodging did get a little sloppier there for a second upon hearing that, as he only barely avoids them this time.

This is extremely unfair to use our kinks against us... and also unfair for their guests probably to have to hear these kinks being aired out in front of them. Still...]

Well now I almost want to throw this fight just so we can get to the good part faster.

[... Almost, if only because he proceeds to pull out a gun here to aim at Grimm and try to shoot him instead of throwing the fight.]

[Eh, they're getting free food at the reception, they shouldn't complain.

Grimm's wings curl around him protectively, and the bullet connects to little effect. He's not going to do the pufferfish thing because he wants to look good, but this is close enough.]

[Well then, shooting regular bullets isn't going to do as much good, it seems. He does have two more ideas though for weapons: he proceeds to switch his gun this time for one of those fancy long-distance taser weapons and fires it at the other, attempting to see if it'll connect and shock the other man enough to drop his guard.]

[Tasers are basically magic, which means the shock connects, and Grimm's wings spasm for a moment as he grunts in pain. Now's a good opportunity if there ever was one.]

[While Grimm is distracted by the taser shocks, Danny takes out a device to flip a switch for one of his remaining traps: it looks like he's got something big heavy prepared to drop down above where Grimm is currently situated, as Danny aims the taser again to shoot again if Grimm tries to move to a different location before he can get hit by debris from above.]

[He's stunned for long enough that the debris hits - and Grimm splits into a multitude of shadowy creatures that look like Grimmchild. They fly around for a moment, away from Danny, and if Danny looks closely there's one whose eyes glow red.]

Aha! There you are...

[Danny does indeed spy the one with red eyes, and thus that is the one he proceeds to try to shoot again with his taser gun before it can get too far away.]

[Color me shocked that Danny zeroes in on the one with interesting eyes.

Grimm is a much smaller target like this, and he swoops and swerves out of the way until the cloud of batbugs reforms in a poof of smoke.

Grimm's next appearance is right behind Danny, and his tentacles sweep under them to try to knock Danny off his feet.]

[Unfortunately for Danny, while he may have suspected that Grimm would try to come from behind him, he isn't as prepared for getting his feet swept out under him. As a result, he ends up taking a nasty fall that has him swearing loudly, which will likely give Grimm the opportunity to knock his taser out of his hands here even when he tries to turn and fire it in Grimm's direction.]

[Sorry honey, you're getting your taser privileges revoked, as Grimm yanks the taser out of his hands and snaps it cleanly in half.

That done, he settles on Danny's chest, using his own weight to keep him pinned.]

Seriously?

[Danny actually groans at that, annoyed at how he's ended up right back in this position yet again. Good job, self.

His arm tentacles wiggle aggressively, but they don't make to try to grab for Grimm's throat like last time, mindful that he needs to be prepared if he starts getting strangled again in return for his efforts. He needs a new plan, but he doesn't really have a lot of options left by this point...]

What can I say, it's an excellent view.

[Flirting even now.

That said, he's not going for the strangling this time. No, this time Danny gets a point-blank fireball to the chest. It can't hurt Grimm, so he doesn't have to be mindful of how close he is to the flame.]

[Yeah, okay, that hurts. Danny brings up his arm tentacles to at least shield his head and face from the flames (that would be absolutely devastating if he had ended up hurting his good eye or having his hair burned off) but that unfortunately leaves the rest of him exposed.

While he was smart enough to at least try to invest in fire-proof clothing before today, this place really didn't account for how much Grimm's fire would probably do at close range, so whatever protection he had on underneath his wedding jacket here isn't going to stop this from hurting like a bitch, resulting in Danny choking on a pained gasp from it underneath him here, squirming to try to break free and get away.]

You can always surrender.

[He wouldn't burn Danny's good eye, he knows Danny would be really upset about that. But he already hates the scars on his chest so it's fine if those get mildly burned, right?]
