So cute. [It's a murmur against Howard's lips, appreciative of the lovely sounds he's making. Shuji strokes Howard's cheek with his thumb as he speaks.]

You're...the one who's cute.

[He pulls away, but only so that he can turn his head to place a kiss against Shuji's hand. And another. And yet another.]

I love you more than I can say.

Can't be cuter than you.

[The kisses to his hand make him smile, his heart beating faster. He rubs his thumb over Howard's bottom lip this time.]

I love you too. More than I could say in a hundred poems.

A hundred poems...?

[He huffs.]

I'd think I'd die of happiness just by hearing one.

[He really isn't thinking straight - with a murmur, he opens his mouth slightly so that Shuji's thumb slides further in, giving the tip of the finger a kiss.]

[Shuji was going to say something, maybe about how he deserves all one hundred - but then Howard does that with his mouth and it's all Shuji can do not to splutter. His face is bright red, he's sure - he can certainly feel it heating up.]

...I, I can't compose anything while you're doing that.

[He says that, but he doesn't pull his hand away, instead rubbing his thumb over the tip of Lovecraft's tongue.]

Doing what?

[This is...maybe going a bit far. But he opens his eyes wider and sees the bright red of Shuji's cheeks, and it makes Howard's heart race like nothing before. He's radiant. Does he even know how radiant he is...?]

[There's a quirk to the side of Howard's mouth as he licks over the tip of the other's thumb, his thin lips sucking down as he watches Shuji's reaction.]

[How could Shuji be thinking about his radiance or whatever when he's transfixed by Howard's mouth and tongue? He swallows a lump in his throat, hardly breathing.

When he does pull his hand away from and out of Howard's mouth, it's only so he can kiss Howard again, deeper and more fervent than before.]

[Okay, maybe this is the time to just pull away, they can kiss any time after all, Shuji's just been through an experience that almost took his life, and-]

[Well, all those thoughts are banished out of the window when Shuji kisses him. He lets out a surprised groan, a hand slipping around the other's head to grasp at his hair as he returns the kiss with the same fervor.]

[Sweet and soft kisses are wonderful, but Shuji is a creature of approximately 99% thirst. By the time he manages to pull away, he's flushed and gasping, hazy eyes fixed on Howard's mouth.]

That... I think...

[-we should stop now, is the reasonable conclusion of that sentence, but Shuji can't seem to sound it.]

What...?

[He swallows. He glances over the other, over his own hands, itching to touch and feel and move. What's...happening with him?]

I mean, this is...a lot. [He finally murmurs, placing a wet kiss against the side of Shuji's lips. He feels like he's drunk.] But...I don't mind a lot, you know...?

[Is this what people mean when they say they're drunk on love? It's not entirely love that's making Shuji's heart pound, though.]

I, I don't mind it either. Not when it's with you. I... think I really like a lot, with you.

[He presses a kiss to Howard's lips in return, then tilts his head so he can better kiss the side of Howard's neck.]

Oh.

[He doesn't think he's ever blushed this much in all his life. The kisses to his neck aren't helping. Howard mumbles, a stifled moan at the back of his throat.]

Just...just like that. [It has to be some kind of release of emotions from going through such a traumatic and sudden experience, a part of him thinks. Like a release of pent-up emotion, especially with their confessions - annnd he's really not thinking anymore past that. He trembles, his hand threading through Shuji's hair.] Please...

[It's a release of emotion, sure, but that doesn't mean he'll regret it when he's calmer.

Shuji kisses down Howard's neck, enjoying every sound and shudder he gets out of Howard. At the junction of neck and shoulder, he sucks gently, leaving a reddish mark in his wake.]

Shuji...

[The sudden, simple joy of happiness is very quickly getting replaced by something deeper, stinging, burning deep in his abdomen. He...always has wanted this, hasn't he? He's imagined this very scenario.]

[But now it's happening for real.]

[He moves his fingers back to himself, unbuttoning his own shirt so that he can slide it partially off his shoulders, allowing Shuji more area to work with.]

[Shuji has imagined this. Not often - it's uncomfortable picturing someone who Shuji thought would never return his feelings - and his fantasies didn't include the almost dying beforehand, but this general scenario, he's imagined.

Howard has given him an invitation, and he accepts it, sucking more hickeys onto Howard's shoulders.]

You're going to need to wear a high collar tomorrow.

[Murmured against Howard's skin. He doesn't think it'll be too much of a problem - he's not sure Howard owns that many low-neck shirts to begin with.]

[ohrlyeh]

That's... [He has to shudder, the sting of Shuji's mouth mixing in deliciously with pleasure.] That's absolutely fine.

[Mark me. I am yours.]

Shuji, please... [He lets out a low moan - his hands slide over the other's chest, grasping the fabric of his shirt.]

Keep going.

[Howard could ask him to do anything, and if he moaned like that Shuji would move heaven and earth to make it happen.

He yanks his own shirt over his head - no sexy teasing, he's not capable of that kind of patience right now.]

You can do it too - if, if you want to.

[He knows he wants Howard to.]

[The sight of Shuji's bare chest, so pristine and smooth, is enough to send another sudden jolt of heat down into his abdomen. He swallows, before he leans forward to press his thin lips against the other's collarbone.]

[A couple more kisses, like he's trying it out, before he moves to an area of skin above the bone to bite down gently - with a low noise, he sucks down to produce a lovely shade of red.]

[All the scars and scratches Shuji once had have long been healed by ink, so the mark Howard leaves is the only one on him. Perfect.

Shuji moans, burying his hands in Howard's hair before he even thinks about the motion.]

God... do that again? Please?

[He doesn't think he'll have to try very hard to convince Howard to bite him again.]

[ohrlyeh]

...Of course.

[He doesn't want to see Shuji hurt, by any means, but leaving behind these lover's bites is perfectly satisfactory in Howard's mind. It's the way to show, physically, how much he loves the other man. He mumbles at the hands in his hair, the heat in his cheeks moving into his ears.]

[He moves up and bites down again, fingernails digging into the sides of Shuji's arms.]

[The groan when Howard bites him again is loud and unmistakably from pleasure as much as pain, if not more so.

Today Shuji learns that he's a tiny bit of a masochist.]

Feels too good...

[He pets Howard's hair, an automatic motion while his brain is focused only on Howard's mouth, his teeth, his tongue.]

I-I'm glad.

[Glad that Shuji feels this good, glad that he's the one who makes him feel this good. He inhales a quick breath, licking over the bite as he runs the edge of his teeth up his neck.]

Touch me more... [A sigh.] Please.

[Shuji doesn't answer verbally. Instead he takes Howard by the shoulders and gently pushes him back, until Howard is lying on the couch and Shuji is hovering over him.

This is definitely too much too soon, but Shuji doesn't care. Not when Howard asked him for more, please.

He pushes the bottom hem of Howard's shirt up so he can lay more kisses on Howard's stomach and chest, even grazing his tongue over a nipple.]

[ohrlyeh]

[Oh.]

[This is definitely going places. Places that Howard is liking more than he thinks he should. As Shuji places his lips against his thin stomach, he bites down on his lower lip. More. More.]

[When the other's tongue brushes against his nipple, he lets out a low, plaintive whine, his cheeks instantly heating up in visible shame.]

[It's going excellent places. Places that make Howard whine like that and make Shuji want to explore those places even more.

He kisses one nipple, then the other, alternates between sucking on them and soothing them with his tongue. His expression, should Howard catch a glimpse of it, is nothing less than enraptured.

As he does, he brings one of his knees forward to lightly rub between Howard's legs. He knows how he's feeling - more than a little excited - but he needs to know if Howard feels the same.]
