The Soulmate? Jamjar?? Meme
So whatever you were doing - sleeping, eating, dying - you've been whisked away to a strange place. Well, no, actually it's a pretty cozy-looking apartment, it has an entire fridge and everything - but it definitely is not where you were. You should not have woken up in this apartment's only bed, along with somebody you've never seen before.
After you stop having hilarious misunderstandings with your bedmate, you may make your way outside only to find: it's pretty nice out here? Very 21st century suburbia. Some of the buildings seem a little out of place, like someone requested a jousting arena and a virtual reality room and the Angel did their best to fit them in-
Wait, back up a second.
The giant angel flying by (white wings, halo, radiance, the works), upon seeing you gawking, will happily inform you that this is your new home, and they brought you here because your soulmate was tragically born in another world. But now you're here together, living peacefully with nothing to stop your love from blossoming!
And no, they won't send you back. You'll be much happier here once you get used to it. Living side by side with your soulmate and being encouraged to get to know them, or get to know them, what else do you need?
Options, because we like options:
1. Soulmates are a known thing. Apply all the soulmate tropes you wish - not seeing color until you meet your soulmate, having your soulmate's name written on your body, etc. You can tell that at least the Angel's claims about this person being your soulmate are true. It doesn't necessarily make things less awkward.
2. Soulmates, what hogwash! Soulmates aren't a thing that everyone knows about and everyone has where you're from. You might believe in them, but you also believed in Santa when you were younger. Or you might think this whole thing is stupid, and your growing attachment to your 'soulmate' is just a coincidence.
(Post with character name/canon name/shipping preference. Due to the nature of this meme, cross-canon CR is encouraged and almost essential unless you have some alternate universe shenanigans in your canon.)

We're fixing that. Baking is actually a lot easier than cooking, so long as you've got a recipe and are careful about following it— there's less guesswork involved.

[But if he doesn't have to guess, then that should be something even he can do...!]

[ desserts for her for now, even if she has to start him on boxed mixes. and maybe, eventually he might get good enough that they can—
...they can make the soup that that girl used to make together with her.
that desire gets turned over, and then quietly put aside; she can think about what having it means after he's gone to bed. after smacking herself in the trauma earlier, sleeping tonight would probably just invite nightmares anyway. ]

They've been touchy enough with each other, and this is a warm enough moment, that Suga almost wants to kiss her cheek. He doesn't, because he doesn't have that kind of boldness in him in the end, but his gaze does linger there.]
Something in time for White Day?

that is definitely a creaky squeak in reply, though ]
I, if you want, but— I didn't do anything for Valentine's Day? Whenever that even was—

—wait a moment, what day is it.

It hasn't passed yet
[Not that she needs to do anything for him!!]

I suddenly have a better understanding than I wanted of how some of us can lose track of time so badly they misplace years, wow.
I'm glad I didn't miss it, though. ...Or my birthday.
no subject
When is your birthday
We should do something nice for it
no subject
[ but if she does that again, there's a good chance it'll just remind her of all the people who went to the last one. ]
...mm. I'll figure something out.
no subject
[She should have a good birthday!]

Maybe we should go out
[...like on a date. Maybe.]
no subject
... does that even matter enough to freeze up over? her answer's the same either way. ]
...I'd like that.
no subject
I don't have experience with this kind of thing
But I'll do my best for you
[Definitely a date.]
no subject
It's fine, I don't exactly have extensive experience either. ... I think you'd have to work at it to make me not enjoy spending time with you, anyway.
[ did she just say that. she actually just said that! with a straight face! how dare he do this to her. ]

I'm not that good
no subject
Not that good, or not that bad?
no subject
I'm sure spending time with me isn't always that fun
no subject
no subject
[Even when she embarrasses him.]
no subject
I'm not always fun either, even if I do try to give off that impression.
no subject
That's okay
You make me feel better when I'm upset
I want to do the same for you
no subject
she starts to reply, only to hesitate and bite her lip. after a few moments she starts again, somewhat more subdued. ]
... I'll try to keep that in mind. I'm... mm. Bad at letting myself get upset, I guess? ...I spent enough time being really unhappy to sort of... get mad about the idea of doing it anymore. And on top of that it isn't always safe.
I was actually pretty glad when you told me about the night glowstone. It's... easy for me to slip from a normal kind of upset into a really bad kind without realizing I'm doing it, and even if I highly doubt I'd be dangerous to you it's still... hard. Both to be that way, and to come back from it.
But if you give me allergy attacks whenever I start sliding that way, then I've got a good warning to slam on the brakes before I get that far. So I'll try to remember you've got a safety net for me.
