[It was probably a date.

With anybody else, Aleph wouldn't have thought too much about inviting them out to a local disco - he loved discos, he loved dancing, and it was a fun kind of thing to share with friends. But with Mettaton...

It was almost definitely a date, and Aleph couldn't help being the tiniest bit nervous as he waited outside the door for Mettaton to arrive.

The music from inside could be heard, upbeat and uptempo.]

[Mettaton giggles and claps his hands together excitedly before offering one to Aleph.]

Yes. Let's knock the socks off this entire club.

[Or at least have everyone else stop dancing to pay attention to these two. ]

Hmmmm... Are we allowed to request songs?

[Hand accepted.]

Mhm. Do you have something special in mind?

[Aleph doesn't do a lot of song-requesting himself, but if there's something Mettaton's especially talented at...

I do!

[Maybe. Yes. Mettaton drags Aleph towards the DJ's stand and waves his hand to get their attention. When he's signled on to the stage, he momentarily lets go of his partner's hand, climbs up on the platform, whispers something to the DJ and hands him a small object. The DJ nods and goes back to his business, and Mettaton returns to Aleph with a big grin.

It isn't long until the current song ends and an all too familiar (at least to Mettaton) guitar riff begins to play. The robot strikes a pose and readies himself for when the song actually starts. When it does? The spotlights are all on him somehow and the crowd parts to give him room as he dances.

He doesn't expect to do this alone though. After a bit into the song, he holds out a hand towards Aleph again for him to join him.]

[This isn't a song Aleph's heard before, but it's going to be one of his favorites soon. Count on it.

Aleph is a quick study, and he's paying attention to Mettaton's moves. When he's beckoned to join the dance, he's all too happy to mimic Mettaton's moves with his own added flair here and there.]
