IC Canon Sharing Meme

So you know those wonderful bits of canon that you'd love to see other characters react to, but you can't, either because your character doesn't remember, doesn't know, or would never talk about it? Time to fix that.

Directions:

1. Post up bits (videos, text, etc.) from your character's canons! Happy, silly, heartbreaking, terrifying. Anything goes!

[The raven-haired woman of another world simply raises her hand and firmly holds Yonaka's shoulder. After witnessing something like that, there's simply no words that she can come up with to describe her disgust. She may not know the concept as clearly as she would have, but there's something inherently sickening about the sight that just bothers her so much.]

[chasescenes]

It's okay.

[No, it's not, and Yonaka knows it isn't. But her situation is awful enough that she doesn't tell people about it for this reason - too much sympathy, too much pain on her behalf.]

How can you say that when you suffered so much?

[As naive and common senseless as she was, Nagisa can tell someone's suffering when she sees it. Especially after something like this.]

[chasescenes]

I don't want anyone else to feel pain because of me. Because of them. So I won't ask for sympathy.

[steelhearts]

And you think that by itself will stave off their doubts? Their worries?

I know it won't, but what else can I do?

You can start by not being so presumptuous.

...I did much of the same that you did, hiding my feelings, obscuring my true intentions with the sword I carried in hand for years. I thought that if I perished with the monstrosity I held back, everyone would be happier.

But in finding people who stood by me even when they shouldn't have at all, I realized just how much of a mistake that was.

So don't turn the hands that reach out to you away. Only a friend that would run from pain would be hurt by what you wish to express to them.

[chasescenes]

...I don't know how I can say it.

[She sniffles, fighting back tears.]

I know they won't run away - they're my friends... I know that.

If that's the case, then why do you insist on keeping all this to yourself?

[She wanted to live. And yet she never brought herself to express it until the person that followed her into hell opened her eyes.

Now she was going to pass on what they taught her with great gratitude. And she can only hope to the powers that be that she was doing this right.]

It was painful.

[So painful - but she doesn't need to elaborate.]

If I passed that pain on instead of stopping it from spreading, I don't know if I could forgive myself.

There are people who are willing to carry that pain.

If nothing else...you can tell them.

...I'm glad. No one should ever go through such isolation.

[Especially not after what she went through, even going to foolish lengths to enforce it.

[The red highlights flare up even further, his knuckles tightening so much that some of his scales crack a bit.
