[Lobco had only been home a few days, and of course Cherryblod was delighted and spent every moment he could catching up with his daughter. In the process, the community he was connected to came up in conversation.

Lobco had been slightly skeptical at first - really, a hand mirror letting you talk to people from other worlds? - but after Cherryblod'd introduced her to the community members (in a very affectionate and embarrassing post), and after they'd responded, there was really nothing to do but take it at face value.

Retasu, especially, Cherryblod had been eager to introduce to his daughter and to invite her over to meet her face to face. Retasu'd hesitantly accepted.

At the moment, he was making tea for three, waiting for Retasu to appear.]

[Retasu knocks on the door, gulps, and fidgets. She takes a deep breath and her legs switch to a tail in green light -- she wasn't exactly sure where to put her shoes at the front last time, anyway.]

[Lobco had been wary at first, but fascinated as she was with all things magical. Once her father had shown her how it worked she had thought it to be a fantastic little device. Traveling to different worlds with Chlomaki was a blast but to be able to visit them with this little device? Amazing.

Not so much when your father made very embarrassing posts but ah. That was dad. It had also been very sweet.

When the door sounded she got up from the couch she had been seated on and patted her uniform down, wanting to make sure it was in perfect condition so she could make a good first impression.

Well, here goes nothing. She opened the door and greeted Retasu with a nervous smile.]

Greetings. Retasu, I take it?

[Cherryblod leaves the tea kettle for the moment to head towards the door. Retasu looks nervous, poor thing.]

Retasu! Glad you could come, come in.

H-hello! It's nice to see you! Ah, um, yes, I'm Midorikawa Retasu. I know I sometimes look a little different on the video, but if we're underwater this is best.

[Lobco looked behind her when her father entered, and then back at Retasu, smile widening a little. She returned the bow and then stepped back so that the other girl could make her way in.]

It's very good to meet you. Father has spoken very highly of you.

[cherryblooded]

All of it completely deserved. Have a seat, the tea should be-

[Ah, it's whistling now. He hurries back to finish preparing tea for them.]

I'm not really all that great! Um, thank you very much, though. And hello -- are you, um, Lobco-san?

[justsomeshrimp]

[Lobco nodded]

That would be me. [She indicated the couch that she had been seated at.] And I'm sure every word he has said is true. Father is a good judge of character.

[cherryblooded]

Now, Lobco, I'm going to hold you to that the next time you say you're not as talented and wonderful as I say you are.

[sits down] Thank you. You're very nice. Both of you.

[U-urk. Dad...she just looks vaguely embarrassed before she takes a seat on the other side of the couch.]

I hope you didn't have any trouble on your way down this deep?

[Like he would be anything but biased and embarrassing.

After he's done with the tea, he'll carry it on a tray to their couch and set it on the nearest table.]

It's still a little intimidating, but I made it fine. Thank you very much! Ah-- um, thank you for the tea, too. How does it even work underwater?

I'm glad to hear it. [And shh. It works by magic. Or something.

And now Lobco found herself fishing for something to carry on the conversation, and she often did with people she didn't know well.]

So. So where do you come form, Retasu. Are you from a different sea?

[cherryblooded]

[It's not something Cherryblod knows how to explain, either...

He's happy that Lobco's carrying on the conversation here, and though he knows the answer to this it would be a better idea to let Retasu give it herself, so he'll just be handing out teacups.]

I'm from a different world, actually. I live in a big city on land with humans. I'm not used to places like this.
