1) Retasu worries too much. Cherryblod has the kind of patience very few have, and he continues to take it in stride every time she starts to flail and fret about. He listens, to be sure, and he lets her know that nobody is going to hate her for wanting to be happy, and maybe that's all she really needs.

2) She confesses the whole thing, including almost destroying the universe, but he hinges more on the part where she needed to turn down the you-can-share-me offer that she knew couldn't be genuine. He pauses for a moment to take it all in, but he finally nods and tells her it's okay. "It's not like he would have really loved you anyway" is too harsh to say outright, but "don't feel guilty for doing the right thing" helps.

3) His own contribution to confession hour leaves her speechless for a while, but she comes over later with apologies and offers to talk.

4) It isn't as strange as he thought to be accidentally called "Dad" by someone not his own kid. In fact, he smiles about it and says she can do it any time. She doesn't, but sometimes she almost starts to.

5) Retasu spends an inordinate amount of time trying to futilely research why sometimes the water in the Sea Kingdom doesn't act like water and how she can try and make sure of something like that. She won't tell Cherryblod why until one day he receives a box of homemade cookies and a Father's Day card just vacuum-sealed in plastic in case they sog and run anyway.

1) Several times he’s had the chance to confess, and yet, he can’t bring himself to do so. When the time came to say goodbye to the witch (a trusted partner, that much he can admit), all he could do was nod and say, “See ya”, before he took off for his old home.

2) One would hardly call Ivlis trustworthy- after all, he was the ruler of all the flame demons, and he (mostly) lived up to that title in a way that’d be expected for the textbook term of “Devil”.

But, that didn’t stop Yonaka from coming to him whenever she needed someone to listen about her troubles. For what it was worth, he had proven to be reliable and somewhat understanding. (Roll to Me - Del Amitri)

3) “Would you miss her if she was gone?”, Lord Proscuitto asked.

To that, Ivlis only opened mouth before he shut it, and took to burying half of his face under his scarf.
