So, it seemed, did everyone else in the city.

Standing with her cup of coffee in her hand (espresso), she scanned the room for an empty spot. Full, full, chair with a handbag on it... Looked like there was only one open seat, across from a girl she didn't know.

Well, she was going to have to sit somewhere. Grora approached the girl and tried to look friendly and not super-tired.]

Hey, is this spot taken?

[Gratefully, Grora pulls out the chair and settles down.

Even as she's sipping her coffee, she can't help but pay attention to what Lapis's reading.]

...That for class, or for your hobby? [Some people read textbooks for fun. Wodahs, for example.]

[Lapis simply gives a nod at the thanks, her eyes flicking back down to the book. Though she looks back over at Grora at the question.]

... Ah, it's for class. I'm studying archaeology and anthropology at the university. [Not exactly exciting, but Lapis certainly finds it interesting.]

[Grora's a theology major. For some reason she doesn't look like one.]

... W-well, the art and rituals of ancient cultures, though I plan to focus on mainly on ancient Asia next year. [Okay she should ask about her, she's so bad at talking to people-] Um, are you at the university?

Yeah, I'm a theology major there. People always say I don't look like it - it's the eyepatch, right?

[Blink, and then she giggles quietly.]

... Yeah, I think it's the eyepatch that does it.

Thought so. But I can't afford both eye surgery and my tuition, there's just no way.
