[How the hell this even works, we will never ever ever know, but for now we will assume this:

Wadanohara has an older sister. One who was heavily into fashion and boys and the mainland and who wound up going to university. One who fell in love with a boy only to be rejected after a three year relationship and chase him all the way to law school. At law school, she found herself a new passion: using the law to help people. After some bumps in the road, Elle is doing very well for herself, and is finally able to come home to visit.]

[ Ooooon the contrary, she's just the most excited little thing ever. Still tiny as fuck, though. Hasn't grown more than a centimeter. But she's going to run right up to you and give you the biggest hug ever, Elle.

[Definitely still Wada, even if she's wearing a creepy eyeball hat and not the cute blue sailor outfit she normally wore. Elle scoops her tiny!sister up into a tight hug. Hey, don't worry, Sis! Elle isn't that tall either and she didn't get a lot of her height until right before leaving for UCLA.]

I wanted to surprise you since it's been a while! Not to mention Harvard is waaaaaay further inland than UCLA was. River spirits are so lame and not as accommodating to sending messages to people as the girls in Delta Nu! And none of the birds inland will deliver any mail. Isn't that weird?

[Plus she got a Delta Nu sisterhood phone tree going saying NOT TO TELL WADA ANYTHING because of how much she wanted to surprise her little sister.]

[ She is completely okay with this! She was just surprised, is all. Gosh she would've cleaned up more and done the WELCOME HOME thing if she'd known!! All her familiars are out on errands for her right now, so it's just them, which she supposes is good; privacy is nice.

Getup aside, she seems pretty happy, so there is that.

I did! It was so weird and for some reason everyone kept thinking I was weird for trying to get them to help me out. I mean, one of the professors is an octopus. And a lot of my classmates are sharks and I'm the one who's weird for trying to ask a bird to deliver the mail back home? So uncool.

[It's a shame her familiars are out, but it's nice to have some alone time with her sister. The two of them are such social butterflies they sometimes don't get any.

Oh my god! It finally got amazing! I had my first case and put this really jealous girl in jail for murder. You would not believe the ridiculous alibi she had! And I have a new boyfriend!

Yeah, that IS weird... totally weird. Maybe they're not used to it. Or maybe their birds are really lazy. Memoca flew to the MOON on her own, and she's a kid still...! But, ooh...

[ Wadanohara listens eagerly to her every word, hanging on each sentence more and more, eyes practically lit up with excitement and imagination of her adventures on land. She makes a lot of "ooh"s and "aaah"s but doesn't interrupt until she finishes speaking again. ]

Wow...! You got her?! Oooh, and you have a new boyfriend too? Who is it? What's he like? Is he a dreamy lawyer? Is he cute? Tall? Loud? Quiet? What's his favorite color?

Six months! And let me tell you he is waaaaay nicer to me and takes me waaay more seriously than Warner ever did! He is the best!

[She gives Wada another squeeze before letting her go and pulling her bag into the house. When she told Emmet she was from the shores of Malibu he probably wouldn't expect she meant the waters of Malibu.]

Oh, yes...! I'm really excited, I learned a lot when I went to the academy for awhile, but being away from home was really hard. I fought so many weird things, though... a lot of stuff happened while you were gone! I accidentally made a giant squid cry...

And we got invaded for a bit, but it turned out to be a huge misunderstanding, so everything's okay now. I met a nice guy, too!
