[It had only been a week since everything was put back to normal, but to Naoki it was already starting to feel like a bad dream. He knew damn well it wasn't, and despite his appearance he still had the bug in his head to prove it. But all things considered, he was recovering from it rather well. He knew Chiaki was the same way; she'd never forgive herself if she let this beat her.]
[But Isamu... To be honest, he wasn't really sure. His friend had been acting pretty normal, but how he acted might not really be how he felt. So now Naoki was at Isamu's front door, paying a surprise visit to check on how his friend was actually doing.]

That's fine because I'm not trying to sell you anything. Open the door, it's me.
[Sigh. He wasn't exactly sure why he expected anything different from him. This wasn't going to be as easy as he hoped.]

[He shrugs.] I just want to hang out for a while.
[Considering they hadn't just derped around and played video games or anything like that since before everything, it would make sense for him to miss that even if he wasn't worried.]

Then maybe I could help?
[He shifted a little closer. He wasn't going to barge in, but now Isamu wouldn't be able to shut the door without shutting it on Naoki's foot.]

Maybe not. But I want to help.
[No, he won't go away. Not this time. Not until he's sure Isamu will be okay. And right now? What he's seeing isn't promising.]

Hanging out with a friend is a waste of time?
[And Naoki will be stubborn right back.]
[And Naoki will be stubborn right back.]
Isamu... [He sighs.] Even if that was true, I'd rather be bored with a friend than bored at home alone.
Thanks. [Naoki relaxes and smiles as he steps inside. Isamu clearly wasn't doing too good since coming back, but the fact he let Naoki in at all was a good sign.]
Let me know if you need a hand after all.
Let me know if you need a hand after all.
I know. But sometimes help is nice.
[Hadn't Isamu's exact words been "goody two-shoes?" Naoki had always been like that, and he wasn't going to change now. Especially not with his friends. If anything, he was desperately trying to be more helpful to them. He felt like what had happened to them was his fault, and he wanted to make that up to them.]
[His smile faded into a much more serious expression.] You okay?

[Being a spirit meant that April wasn't really affected by the whole end of the world thing, even if it was confusing as hell and really, she didn't do all that work years ago. Especially after being stuck in the Tower of Animus and seeing her world be destroyed already, but she doesn't like thinking about the tower anymore.
So now she was just stuck exploring this odd world, the fact that she's an incredibly powerful spirit meaning that demons didn't try to fight with her much. And she eventually ends up peeking into a room where a man is examining some sort of weird... drum thingy.
Huh, he seems familiar... But she shakes it off, instead musing over how she never thought she would find a human still alive.
So at any rate, Hijiri will have one small redhead with glowing eyes hesitantly speak up.]
Um, excuse me?

Huh, he seems familiar... But she shakes it off, instead musing over how she never thought she would find a human still alive.

Um, excuse me?
[Hijiri jolts and whirls to face her. April certainly doesn't sound like Naoki nor look like him. But after a second he'll turn around.]
You're not a demon, are you?
You're not a demon, are you?
[April blinks at him for a moment, titling her head. No way, he looks kinda like...
- She's quick to push that thought away, it's hard to tell from this distance anyway, and she shakes her head. But she seems oddly jittery now.]
U-um, no, I'm... M-more like a spirit. I-I was in this town when the, um, t-thing happened... D-didn't think anyone had lived...

I'm not familiar on the finer details the difference, really... Are you going to attack?
[He really hopes not because his combat ability is... none to speak of.]
[He really hopes not because his combat ability is... none to speak of.]
No! Noooo, no, no, no! [Completely with holding hands up in front of her and flailing a bit.]
N-no way, I would rather avoid fights by now, I-I already had a few demons fight with me...

Oh, great. I, uh, don't know how to fight at all, so...
[April nods, shifting on her bare feet nervously; she stopped wearing shoes about 200 or so years ago.]
I-it's all right, I won't attack you... I-is it okay if I come in?
